Here come the predictable hot takes throwing the entire program under the bus.

You may disagree...but you may not have the same expectations and dreams for our program that I do. And thats ok...there is room for all as we all love our Apps.
Its a long season...and a tough league. But for the first time...we were in the drivers seat for a NY6 bowl. Now that is 100% gone. There are alot of pumpers out there who are continent with 4 loss years and will defend coaches and players to the death. And to you i say....congrats. you got what you wanted. But to those who want more, lets fight for more.

Re: JMU Game Day Thread
JMU's adjustments out of the half were spot on.
I said this elsewhere and I'll say it here: conservative play-calling is too engrained in the App culture and has hurt us more than once since we moved to FBS. That's gotta change. The culture has to change as the SBC gets overall better and the coaching staff has a lot of work to do to get the players where they need to be.

Wow, we should never have let that game get away from us. I will say, as impressed as I was with our new OC the first 2 games, I have been equally unimpressed this last game. Uninspired offense and defense with subpar play from our d ends makes a long season ahead of us.

Well, we beat our own asses today. JMU is good. The punt call kind of hurt too.

What happened with Cam and Nate. Didn't play at all in the second half. Could Shawn Clark have just sealed his fate? Some brutal games mixed with magic

That was the worst half of football I have ever seen. Out coached at every angle. Just bad

Re: JMU Game Day Thread
I thought they would have as well but perhaps we gave them too much credit. I want to see what happens in October but to fall apart like we did tells me we have a lot of issues that go beyond a couple injured players. JMU might very well be the best team in the East this year. It should go down between them and Coastal Carolina.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:51 pmUgh. I guess we should've seen it coming. But I held out hope this staff would've figured out the holes by now
Those on here tracking everything ESPN says won't want to read it this week. We just got the loss that will cause ESPN to jump off our bandwagon. All the votes for the top 25 are gone. Hopefully we bounce back but a lot has to change over the next few weeks or we could easily lose 3 more.

Curious if it was OC or HC with the conservative play calling? Completely humorous that we were actually mentioned for NY6 bowl. Winter is coming, time for change.

No he’s a jackass who’s never posted on here and cannot wait to pile on. The most obnoxious of spectators. This was a very disappoints loss. 100%. But the takes are lame to say the least.yosef69 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:54 pmLike it or not he’s right.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:53 pmThen root for someone else jackassAppSt12 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:46 pmHumiliating. Re: JMU Game Day Thread
Hey, I’m just saying what I observed. We played a terrible game, mediocre at best today. Can we still have a good year and get a bowl, yep. But if anyone wants to defend how we played in the second half they have their heads stuck in the sand.tm37766 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:51 pmGuess we hit our Apex and are on our descent to 5-6 losses’ maybe 7. Only Tom Brady wins when down 28-3 until today
Apexmountaineer has spotlighted our mediocrity. We’re ECU of the West.
Was a shitty game in second half for sure. Disappointing for sure
Parity in this game is real
Notice I haven’t called for any coach’s job or for any player to be benched, I simple said that our performance today was embarrassing.

I think injuries. Our media members need to grow some balls and ask hard questions. No more softball questions. We have media who just accept any BS answer because they are afraid to lose access so I am sure they won't.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:55 pmWhat happened with Cam and Nate. I want to say congrats to JMU again. JMU is better than App State this year. A team is about coaching and players and their coaches are superior to us. Their players are just as good, or better, as well, based on what we saw today.
If I thought we were actually any good I would say JMU should be ranked this week but I would not rank them. They will receive votes though and if they get to 5-0 I bet they will be ranked.

Good try…
I’ve been here for years buddy and been going to games since 2000 so no. I am not however a homer who thinks we are the cinderella team that the media is hyping up.
This game is embarrassing, no other way to say it. Will I still support the boys for the rest of the year? Yes. However I will also say when they are playing a terrible game, which today they are.
I wouldn’t say we are beating ourselves, JMU is kicking out ASS in this second half. Right now they are pounding it down our throats.

One play does not cost you the game. Turnovers, poor coaching, and poor execution cost games.
