This is what happens when you hire a players coach. You get a soft team with no Killer instinct.

You may disagree...but you may not have the same expectations and dreams for our program that I do. And thats ok...there is room for all as we all love our Apps.
Its a long season...and a tough league. But for the first time...we were in the drivers seat for a NY6 bowl. Now that is 100% gone. There are alot of pumpers out there who are continent with 4 loss years and will defend coaches and players to the death. And to you i say....congrats. you got what you wanted. But to those who want more, lets fight for more.
It’s real easy to speak up to someone from behind a keyboard.
Not once did I come at you or say anything negative about you. Feel free to disagree with my take on the game; but if you want to start talking shit to other fans just because they feel our teams efforts were disappointing then fine. That just shows how small of a man you are.
I simply made observations about a team’s performance that, most who don’t hold themselves as high and mighty would probably agree with.

I wouldn’t say we are beating ourselves, JMU is kicking out ASS in this second half. Right now they are pounding it down our throats.

Re: JMU Game Day Thread
That was one of the biggest chokes I've seen in a long time.
We were very vanilla today and played not to lose. It cost us big time.
No sense of urgency and no killer instinct.
Kudos to JMU for adjustments and no quit. I thought this game might be tight, but how do you go up 28-3 and allow that to happen. Looks like our luck ran out.
Hopefully we can lick our wounds, heal up and learn something from this.

Dukes came in, punched us in the face, took our ranking, and a possible NY6 spot.
Good thing they're not bowl eligible as they'd probably take that too.

Bizarre victory lap. If you wanna critique play calls etc, fine I’m with you, but you immediately went after Clark which is bullshit

I would use that wording if the CFP had been out and we were in position to get it. I don't think they took our NY6 spot because I don't think we had established ourselves as the front runner for that spot yet.
I think they are bowl eligible because they are technically in second year of transition.

Re: JMU Game Day Thread
Terrible 2nd half. Can’t get conservative. Yes that call on the punt was a terrible call, but that’s not what lost is this game.
This one falls on coaching. We were out coached 2nd half. I understand we want to establish the run, but JMUs defense wasn’t having any of it. Left us in too many long downs and obvious passing situations. It’s like teams never learned from the falcons losing the super bowl while up from the same score we were. Don’t go conservative. Even though this is JMUs first year, they have a wining culture that has been there since our fcs days.
It’s not the end of the world. I hope to see the frustration from this loss taken out on El Cid next week and then we steamroll the rest of the year. We will learn a lot about this staff during these next few games. I still have confidence this will be a hell of a year.
I also love the negative posters that always seem to make an appearance when we lose, but are never around when we win. Go somewhere else. We all wants best for this program and university, but if you only come out when we lose, you aren’t a fan.

Seattleapp is the worst of the worst. You cant critique or use logic...or else you have to pull for another team. Thats called low T. Be better and hold your mountaineers accountable.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 6:01 pmEasy to throw another school shirt on. You have plenty to choose from

Great post. We have a pretty consistent group of posters on here who banter back and forth. It cracks me up that the second we lose, suddenly there are posters who never ever post suddenly have all kindsApp_in_Maiden wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 6:08 pmTerrible 2nd half. Can’t get conservative. Re: JMU Game Day Thread
It's up to Gillan to decide what route we take as a program. We made a step towards more national marketability this year, JMU loss or not. We have good football culture, a good brand, and a good record. Are we going to cycle good OCs looking to catapult, or are we going to go traditional with "App guys" peppered in with a supporting staff? Clark had been underwhelming, as much as I like him. Texas AM aside, the big wins have been "wild rides" which can be attributed to the ra-ra former player thing and App's usually solid talent. But, I like controlled domination, Texas AM type games. Drink offered those as well. This team is primed for better. I think we can thrive as a potential 2-3 stepping stone for up and coming coaches. Build the brand, get the recruits, compete at the highest levels and stay relevant.

I didn’t say a word about clark, I said it was embarrassing, which it was. Maybe you should learn how to read or maybe just how not to be an asshole.
