We do a segment called "Tour of the Upstate", in which we interview our (South Carolina) high school player of the week.

This week it was Dorman running back DJ Porter who rushed for 200 and notched another 66 receiving in a 39-23 win over 5-0 River Bluff (Lexington, SC). He's the #3 recruit in the state. We spent about 5 minutes with him today if you care to check it out.

I’ve watched this guy play. One time. He is very shifty and can hit the hole quick. Reminds me a little bit of Noel.

We need to "Load" at defensive back. We need to make it a prerequisite that you have to play defensive back before you can play running back. Maybe we can get some people excited about playing defensive back for APPSTATE.

The thing about Porter - he is small. He seems to be fast, I don’t know what his speed numbers are, but he is not incredibly fast. Did not outrun the angle a couple of times like I’ve seen some backs do.

I noticed that too when I looked him up. Seems like a good all around athlete who could play almost anywhere.
