I like your optimism, but we just lost to Texas State- a team that has NEVER beaten us before and routinely finishes at the bottom of the West and is the weakest of the remaining conference foes we face. I want to believe, but it is really hard right now.

I’ve never understood redshirting freshmen who are ready.311neers wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:24 pmHonestly, we shouldn’t be redshirting anyone if they are ready to play now. With the free portal, none of these kids are promised to be here next year. Use them while they are on campus….ESPECIALLY ROBERTS.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:20 pm'NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:16 pmCam and Noel always being injured is hurting us. Chop, Marshal and Castle are great 4th quarter backs. Put #14 out there and ride Tecmo Bowl. Take the redshirts off all of the Defensive lineman and just let the best players play. Our LB’s and DB’s are fine, but our line SUCKS!
I tend to agree with you. Whatever we are doing isn't working, let's see if the young guys have something we need, especially Roberts. Hell, they all have 4 games to show what they got in game time atmosphere (not practice) so I say we use those 4 games to see what they have. Worst case senario it gives our young guys experience for the future.

Re: Vent Here
I just finished watching Thor: Love and Thunder. Christian Bale is great as the antagonist. And that is about it. The rest of the movie was less than average. I get where they are going with the set ups for future movies, but this was just hard to stay interested in with how terrible the writing is.
Speaking of terrible writing, Rings of Power is just pathetic. The writing is about CW DC show level of bad. They are butchering the timelines that Tolkien created and have just totally gone off the rails at this point making up all sorts of stuff to try and tell their version of his world. I despise that this will be what many younger generations get to see as Tolkien lore and Amazon will use their billions to make it so. Thankfully they can never get rid of Tolkien's original work or they probably would.
Andor is a series that is growing on me a bit even though the main character is such a huge han solo rip off. Truly, read the Han Solo trilogy to get the really story behind the rebellion. It also tells the true ways that han and chewie met and their dealings with the hutts and others as well as why he was on tattooine to begin with. But the andor series is pretty good. It's interesting to see what these mortals are doing in the universe of demi God force users.

Let me explain it to you . We have two losses with 5 games left in conference .Our margin for error is gone meaning we can't lose another game and hope to win the East , much less the conference.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:29 pmtrying to figure our where our 3rd conference loss is

Am I correct that Robert Morris doesn’t count towards bowl eligibility?
Meaning we have to win 3 of:
Ga State
ODU
@ Coastal
@ Marshall
@ Ga Southern

Re: Vent Here
There's some stuff happening behind the scenes that we don't see. I'll leave it at that. Clark hasn't lost the locker room or anything, but he may be learning quickly he's too much of a players coach.
Noel was not going to play today. He's still not 100%.
Also, players are not executing on game day what is executed in game planning. Ultimately, that's on coaching but not entirely. Player leaders need to step up and make the rest realize what it takes. Its not just practice. It's living and breathing App State football. We have some guys that aren't doing that right now.

I was just about to start Rings of Power but will probably wait until season finale so I can binge it. I don’t mind that it doesn’t track the books to a tee. Who should we have hired instead ?GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 9:25 pmWe settled with Clark. It’s lead us to mediocrity. Those of you who have continuously stuck your head in the sand and stuck by his “our goals are still ahead of us,” fell for it.
And I don’t wanna hear, “oh why are you even watching if you clearly hate App.” I care enough to give a shit about our program racing to the bottom. We’ve had every advantage our last two coaches had roster wise, and the eyes of the college football world on us, and we’ve fallen flat for 3 years.

I'm not sure. I don't want to dog any of the players because everybody is different with injuries. But, at least today, my understanding is everything looked great with Noel all week. Medically cleared. Great week of practice. Looked the best he's looked in a while. But, for some reason decided he couldn't go right before kick off. He obviously played, but didn't want to. The game plan was heavily influenced by his return. When that was questionable, shit hit the fan.311neers wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:52 pmWhat is going on in the RB room?
