Mid Season Predictions
This thread is an opportunity to go on record with your prediction for the back half of the season.
Heart says we drop one more finishing 9-4 with a bowl win.
Head says we finish 6-6, missing bowl season with GS breaking our streak, because that’s what they do.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I think if our players get it together and learn to fight, and our coaches come up with good game plans, then we could finish 8-4 or 9-3 but I feel like we probably go 7-5.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 8:02 pmThis thread is an opportunity to go on record with your prediction for the back half of the season.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
Since I’m not putting money on it, I say we win out.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I think we win the next two to go 5-3, but depending on how we look against Georgia State will raise either put my prediction at 5-7 or finding a way to get to 7-5. 8-4 at best IMO.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I'll hold my prediction until after GaSt. Will see how they come back from the long break. If it's dinged up guys like Clark says we should be ok. If it's not I doubt we make bowl eligible.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I have no idea and can’t predict what we do based on first half.
We have shown we could play at a very high level at times which could take us undefeated.
But we have also played like crap at times.
Whether we get our act together I don’t know.
Based on six games, barring a come to Jesus moment and a big adjustment, we lose more than we win.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
After watching ODU/COASTAL and GS/JMU I’ll gladly eat crow… but sticking to my original prediction of 5-7.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
We have the talent and we're gonna get our swag back and win out the regular season, win the SBC Championship game, and win our bowl. So, my prediction 11-3.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
JMU: Lose one more in conference (I'll say Marshall) but continue to help us by picking up wins. Finish 6-2 conference and get bragging rights for Sun Belt East but sadly for them no title game bid.
ODU: Struggle to 2-4 down the stretch and finish 4-4
Coastal: Lose to JMU and App. Finish 5-3
Everybody else but App: Everyone gets beat up and finishes 3-5.
App: I say we drop at least one (Marshall) but also pick up wins against GA State, Coastal, and Old Dominion. If App can beat Southern in Statesboro, they get the East bid based on tiebreak with Coastal. If they lose, Coastal advances. Whoever it is advances to Mobile to play South Alabama for the title.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I think 7-5 is about right. But I think that would have been unimaginably disappointing back in August. The Sun Belt is definitely more competitive (which is good), but we seem to be slowly trending down.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
I personally never pick us to lose (even when I figure it's gonna probably happen) and this is not a prediction I want to speculate about. I really think we will know more about the second half of the season this Wednesday. If we are healthier and struggle running the ball and haven't fixed the mental issues and tackling after RM it's gonna be tough. Hard to tell what any of the last 4 will bring.

Re: Mid Season Predictions
In reality - no team on our schedule has been overly impressive themselves. Each team on our schedule has been inconsistent and has displayed good and bad games. Even CCU has not been dominate or impressive in a 1 loss season. If, and a big if we can play to our potential - I will pick us to run the table and win out.

I say 9-3
