Sean Price arrested?
Heard rumblings of this and then found this online. Surely somebody knows something?
ARREST: Sean Anthony Price, 20, of 2338 Antigua Court, Reston, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He was held in Watauga County Detention Center with a secured bond of $1,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19

Re: Sean Price arrested?
A few know a lot of things but were giving the staff time to announce the punishment. Looks like a multi game suspension is in order but exactly what remains to be seen. I & D is bad but not as bad as what happened last year. However since the young man has been in trouble before the coaches have to take that into consideration. Hopefully the young man can get his head on straight and learn from his mistakes. He has a future ahead of him if he can. A class in humility couldn't hurt.treatyosef wrote:Heard rumblings of this and then found this online. Surely somebody knows something?

Hopefully Satterfield sends a message since as you said this is his second time getting in trouble. It's so frustrating to see a guy this talented make dumb decisions, and risk his future along with the teams success.firemoose wrote:A few know a lot of things but were giving the staff time to announce the punishment. This is an important moment for Satterfield to set a standard when it comes to discipline. As he says, no individual is bigger then the program.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
I believe he will. We've got a lot of young kids on the roster and this is NOT the kind of example in a player they need. I want to see Sean succeed as he has great talent but he has got to get his head on straight or wind up like so many in the past who have blown it because of stupidity.JTApps1 wrote:Hopefully Satterfield sends a message since as you said this is his second time getting in trouble. Re: Sean Price arrested?
So is this line "As a result, he is expected to be suspended by head coach Scott Satterfield for an unknown number of games" something you've gleaned from a reliable source or something you are assuming? If it's the latter, that's a dangerous form of quasi-journalism. There are at least two sides to every story and it's not a good idea to jump to that kind of conclusion.

A police report that is public record is a pretty open and shut case. There's really no wiggle room. Suspensions are a coaching issue of course, but precedent would dictate a 2-game suspension.AppGrad78 wrote:So is this line "As a result, he is expected to be suspended by head coach Scott Satterfield for an unknown number of games" something you've gleaned from a reliable source or something you are assuming? Also, the term "is expected" is not a definitive statement. T-Dog is adhering to journalistic integrity as usual, even if Price somehow doesn't get suspended.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
This is extremely disappointing. Maybe his success after a two game suspension last year makes him feel invincible. The issue this year is compounded in that it happened DURING the fall camp. As much as I hate it, I don't think a two game suspension is sufficient unless there are unknown factors in his favor. His FIRST offense was a two game suspension. The coach needs to get his attention.
We have a ton of talent at WR, but his absence will be felt...especially in a potentially tight game like Montana. If we play without him (probable) and lose, I really hope his teammates let him know how badly he has let them down.
All that talent and screwing up over a cheap buzz.

Re: Sean Price arrested?

As an aside and in no way meant to diminish the seriousness of his alleged offense, College kids in Boone need to understand (especially high profile ones) the current police administration is really focusing hard on underage drinking, drinking in public and on public drunkenness. I was told by someone who would clearly know, the chief refers to alcohol as the "Devil's Semen." Gross, I know, but it certainly says were he stands.
Re: Sean Price arrested?
I hope he is not suspended for the Griz game. Montana wants you at your best and he will definitely help us see just how far the secondary has come...or not come.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
I hate for him not to play at Montana also, but we flexed to allow him to play last year and he doesn't seem to have learned a thing. I will be disappointed in the decision if they flex the suspension again. I'm afraid it's time to take a hard line on these things.gah-riz wrote:I hope he is not suspended for the Griz game. Re: Sean Price arrested?
I'm glad T-Dog and Gonzo have appointed themselves judge and jury. At least we don't have that to worry about.
Fortunately, in this country, there's a little thing called due process. Let's let this play out before we decide what kind of punishment is deserved.

I totally understand and agree, believe me when I tell you that Montana fans know how frustrating it is when student-athletes just don't seem to "get it", especially after already being in trouble.Yosef84 wrote:I hate for him not to play at Montana also, but we flexed to allow him to play last year and he doesn't seem to have learned a thing. The right move would be suspend him right away. For my own selfish reasons I would like to see your #10 on the field in 9 days.
Either way I hope Mr. Price sees the light, he is just too damn talented to let having a good time get in the way of what looks to be a promising collegiate and very possible pro career.

A pending charge results in suspensions within the context the team, man. It always has. Neither of us are ranting about the guy's character, guilt or innocence.
Dare I suggest you try not to be so confrontational?

I absolutely agree. If we play the suspension for games we think we can win without you game again I will be very disappointed. If we can't win without him we better improve our two deep before next year anyway so let him sit.Yosef84 wrote:I hate for him not to play at Montana also, but we flexed to allow him to play last year and he doesn't seem to have learned a thing. Re: Sean Price arrested?
If the allegations hold up and he is guilty, I believe Sean should be suspended a minimum of 3 games but 4 would be fine. Two arrests/incidents in 18 months and he does not seemed to have learned anything for it.

That's a real knee-slapper coming from you.
