EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY

Our next major project will be to enlarge the Sofield Center. After that comes the stands on the east side. I don’t believe any money has been officially earmarked for either project.

I've heard this mentioned before. I don't understand how disassembling that building and moving it somewhere else would be more cost efficient then expanding it a little bit out the front end and out the back end obviously that's going to be expensive from a digging and retaining standpoint but still not totally taking down a building that isn't even 20 years old.

I tried to add some renderings, but couldn't get files to attach/upload. Renderings look great, building will go up behind existing metal structure.
Club seats will be $25k capital contribution spread over 5 years and $1k to $1200 per seat/annually, Loge Boxes $50k capital and suites will be $250k to $500k capital with $35k annual fee.

Last night I saw the future Kidd Brewer stadium expansion that will be completed by the NC State game in 2025. East Side will mirror the West side with a tower that has 3 levels of club seating. The corners will be enclosed on both sides of the NEZ to connect both sides. No confirmed date of when the capital campaign and construction will be announced publicly. Currently Yosef Club is doing a “Soft Hold” on the future club seating. The hill will be left alone. Go App!

Assuming they are moving the stands closer to the field to make more room for the tower? Stands need to be closer on both sides now that the track is gone. Our sidelines are huge. This would help with crowd noise and hopefully music/audio/PA.
I've always thought there should be a connecting concourse under the NEZ overhang. An elevated concourse with some seating/club, concessions and restrooms to connect the concourses. Hopefully they add another gate near the ticket office to alleviate the current West side gate traffic. Team would then be able to run out from under that concourse in a tunnel.

If our favorite CMA winner is involved, there is a precedent. Larry the Cable guy a HUGE Nebraska fan, gave a bunch of money to build one of their end zone suite buildings......and has a suite himself.

I don’t think the plan calls for a dismantling and rebuild of the east stands to move them closer.

Club seating is good for revenue but wouldn't more regular fan seats to enlarge the stadium be better spending of available funds?

There isn't room to expand it in the current configuration to a full field. They will need to complete the new Softball field to move the footprint so that it will fit.

The building will go behind existing metal stands and in the current turnaround area off Stadium Drive. No movement of existing stands. I was told plan is to start 2023 with completion before fall 2025 season. We will see what the current economic environment allows us to do. Renderings look great, sorry I'm not smart enough to get any to upload. Happy to share if anyone knows how to upload pix on the forum.

Wow, that seems extremely tight and would create a squeezed concourse (already squeezed). Also, very very far away from the field haha. You could tweet a photo or put it on facebook and then copy the link to that post on here for renderings. About the only way I know how to post photos, I am not very smart either. Excited to see the renderings!

Sooo...all of you who saw these renderings, where did you see them? Was it out in the open in the NEZ complex or in a smaller donor event? Were you disallowed from taking pictures? Did anyone making any intimations as to when the university would publicly announce this plan?

I had lunch with some Yosef Club reps. It is public information, I asked if it could be shared. They said yes, please share with anyone that might be interested. In soft launch mode now. I'm sure they are working on all the details for a mass launch along with the campaign to raise $100m for athletics/facilities.

No kidding. 580 additional club seats alone is another $1.5mil revenue a year, not to mention boxes and loge seats. We’d probably have to add and sell 20k more seats to even come close to breaking even.
