We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Thankful for his time but he is not the right guy. We are stabilized after covid and coaching turnover - except we are stabilized as a mediocre team. It’s time to start new. Hire an actual offensive coach with success at the G5 level. Harsin, Fedora, Holgorsen, Neal Brown, etc..

Kids didn't quit, but this wasn't on the coaches either. It's a talent issue at several key spots.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:14 pmWe don't pick on the kids, and they didn't quit.J_Mountaineers wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:12 pmNo toughness at all, these guys don’t belong in an app state uniform. The "talent" didn't make the call not to kick a field goal. On the coaches.CoachRob wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:17 pmKids didn't quit, but this wasn't on the coaches either. Was just naming stuff off the top of my head. I’m sure there are more current offensive coaches better. We just need someone who understands football in the 21st century.AppDub wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:20 pmHard no to Fedora.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:14 pmThankful for his time but he is not the right guy. A FG doesn't win the game, nor does it tie it.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:20 pmThe "talent" didn't make the call not to kick a field goal. Was still an arrogant call. And dumb considering our 3rd and 4th down success rate. Re: Up Next...Marshall
Our offense has been bad and predictable 2 of Clark’s 3 seasons. It’s on Clark no matter what because either he doesn’t let the OC make the play calls (and he’s a bad play caller) or he’s bad at finding good OCs to coach.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:11 pmWell,
The positives - the kids didn't quit
The negatives - too many to list but here's a few
O line play not good but...5 guys can't block 6 or 7 on every play. Call some damn plays to counteract their crashing
Chase was off target most of the game
Our coaching staff can't call plays. Piss poor situational football and today isn't the first time. It's like other teams know what we are running.
Our coaching staff can't develop game plans
Our coaching staff can't get this team ready to play. WE have to come from behind every week. When you do that sooner or later it is going to catch up to you, like it has this whole freaking season.
It is time to make some changes. I think the world of coach Clark but.......something has to change.

Re: Up Next...Marshall
yea whoever said the kids are quitters is not very bright...those guys are sacrificing their bodies every single day to put on that uniform...we are suffering from coaching issues...and i think the fact we have gone through 5 offensive coordinators in 5 years is finally catching up with us. One thing for sure we have a great winning culture and 1 losing season doesn't mean we are Ark St. As much as I love SC we wont deal with losing like this for long. Wont that many years ago Moore was 6-5 in 2004 and was under fire and won a national title the next year...We shall see

Re: Up Next...Marshall
No doubt disappointing, but were we way overrated to begin with predictions??? Was replacing 9 starters on Defense I think? Toughest schedule we've had in years. Loss of key offensive leaders. There was a possibility of a let down.
How hard we hit the transfer portal this spring for OL & DBs, I think the coaches knew it was going to be tough.
IDK, I have no problem with Coach Clarks aggressive identity, I just don't think he has the horses up front to get the job done.

Re: Up Next...Marshall
At this level the talent difference is very minor overall with the exception of a few teams. It is up to the coaches to put the players in the correct positions and make the correct offensive calls to give you the best chance of success. It's apparent this staff does not have what it takes to do this.
I will never believe it is a talent issue. If it is, that is on the coaches as they are the ones bringing in the talent. I know someone is going to bring up that we missed or lost a few we were counting on, but don't you think all other schools go through missing out on players?
