Re: Possible transfer situations
Yep seems like a good kid. Just a reality of our depth chart at WR and how young we are. He can go elsewhere and get a chance to see increased playtime.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:20 pmChristian Wells is EXACTLY who I was referring to here. I thought it was odd when I heard he was missing GaSo due to an undisclosed injury during practice. He was often injured and this allows stroman to step up. Not worried about this loss. Thank you Christian.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 2:55 pmStroman is vital to keep. One of the most frustrating things was seeing him underutilized. I have to think that some WR will transfer out just based on numbers/scheme. I have an opinion based on who may get jumped in the depth chart but won't share because it is just that - an opinion with no fact.
Hate to see anyone leave but I understand.

Re: Possible transfer situations
We’ve offered 2 portal WR already and a few JUCO’s. Portal- Wofford and Charleston Southern players. Both seem like good players. CSU kid is son of 10 year nfl vet willie anderson.ah59396 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:23 pmYep seems like a good kid. Just a reality of our depth chart at WR and how young we are. Is he the player who shoved the GS fan to the ground after the game?
Not accusing him. Just asking.
Wish him the best in all of his future endeavors!

SC has been here 3 years and has shown he cant recruit jack.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:47 amWe are going very very hard after JUCO prospects based off 247. A ton of coaching changes already happening and kids are decommitting left and right from other schools that we had offers out to. We will be fine and the roster will improve! Excited to see what SC can recruit to the come play on the mountain. Now if he can just coach!

Re: Possible transfer situations
Ok.... this might be the dumbest question, but then again it may not be. With the changing landscape of college football (NIL, Playoffs, Portals) do players leaving a school (via portal) have to sign any type of an NDA? NDA pertaining to issues at the school they came from, coaching strategies, internal issues, and the like? Maybe I'm overthinking this a little.

He's had two recruiting cycles under him full time... One of which was done under covid.AppSt12 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:38 pmSC has been here 3 years and has shown he cant recruit jack.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:47 amWe are going very very hard after JUCO prospects based off 247. Last year's class was the highest ranked ever... This year's is in pace to be even higher...

Yeah recruiting isn’t something anyone can dog SC for. Statistically he’s killed it. #1 class in the SBC coming in at the moment.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:42 pmHe's had two recruiting cycles under him full time... Re: Possible transfer situations
Recruiting rankings are fine, production of those 2.5 classes are not. 2020 wasn’t really his class and that’s why half of them aren’t on campus anymore. That coaching transition set us back in plenty of ways. He’s got this off-season to load up and find about 10 more dudes to get this thing turned around.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 1:48 pmYeah recruiting isn’t something anyone can dog SC for. Changes are being made across the board. That goes for coaches, GAs, Analysts and players alike. You are either all in, or you are all out.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Yes, rankings dont mean anything unless they produce on field results. I don't have enough time right now, but I am looking to do an in depth analysis of playing time vs production vs recruiting class to see how his recruits have done.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Cant believe people are saying SC can't recruit. He has literally recruited some of our best OL players and teams in the pact decade. If anything, that is his strength.

We have a lot that need to go so that is a good thing. If they aren't all in they we need them out immediately for sure.

Re: Possible transfer situations
If rankings meant anything then Satt never would have won a SBC title or even competed for it. Hampton, Hodges, Peoples, Jean-Charles, etc were all 2-star recruits who certainly did not help our recruiting rankings but they produced a lot for us.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 2:07 pmYes, rankings dont mean anything unless they produce on field results.
