That is what I was thinking. There have always been talented players in FCS who could contribute at the FBS level. Those "under the radar" players are what we have thrived on. If our coaches have seen their film against FCS talent, that gives a lot more info than watching HS footage. Hoping we pull in some good OL/DL/DB talent as well. The best WR on the South Carolina team this year was a transfer from JMU.

That FCS talent plus a couple of transfers kicked our butts for 30 minutes in late September.

G5 schools are going to get two types of players in the portal. Those that are lost on the P5 depth chart or studs from the FCS or G5 players on bad teams.

Linebacker from Maryland, DE from Wake Forest, WR from Syracuse, WR from Texas State, WR from Cincinnati, just to name a few offers. Plenty more than just local FCS guys being offered for sure.

What message do you send to our players (especially the QB's) who were recruited to play here and waited their turn if you simply keep looking for some 2 year rental who didn't light up the stat sheet where they played? We have a potential stud waiting to roll next season.

What is appealing to you about DJ? Serious question. He got benched last night because he was wildly inaccurate. Do you overlook that because he is a P5?
