There used to be one in Huntersville that is gone now but I remember the cleveland style there.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:51 pmLupie’s! Knew it wasn’t right when I typed it out. One .500 season and we're not an attractive place to play? Talk about low self-esteem.....

Re: Possible transfer situations
I guess we will just see if anyone wants to play here at App in the next couple of weeks. We will continue this conversation at a later date. I could be wrong...but in this case I doubt it. There will be quite a few transfers that want to play at a Top G5 school. (I'm talking about APP if you weren't sure)appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 9:43 amWhat system? Re: Possible transfer situations
Fastest qb I've seen and have been watching him since he committed to UGA his sophomore year of high school. But, he's a draft pick for baseball and just a freak athlete at QB. We don't need his backup qb, there will be better options. But, it is good to know that some of our current players are lobbying for him and are on the recruiting trail. Maybe we can get Plumlee now that would be fun!MrCraig wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 8:04 amYou have quite obviously never seen John Rhys Plumlee play. Dude is a freak athlete. He may not be the best QB, but he can do it all. That's why he played multiple positions in baseball AND football for an SEC school. I'm not surprised he gets more playing time than the guy who is transferring.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 8:00 pmNo thanks. If true and if Burger is our guy, K-Robb might be eliminating himself as a top target.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Just noticed Coastal has a QB in portal now.
And GSU has 13, including 12 from yesterday.

Re: Possible transfer situations
From what little I saw, I am as well. I think we have a lot more pressing needs than at QB.

Re: Possible transfer situations
I would be concerned with OL on O and that's about it (except depth). Have to keep the QB without pressure and be able to run. I say that thinking the WRs can develop more to get open more often.

Re: Possible transfer situations
I may be in the minority but OL isn’t a “huge” issue for me. As I have heard it explained to me from different levels of coaching, our Zone scheme is pretty difficult to beat when run correctly. From the second half of JMU to Coastal, it looked as if something broke. Was it Hodges injury, was it Everett playing before he was ready, or poor performance from others? Hard to say exactly, but something broke. We looked 1000% better starting at Marshall moving forward. Losing Smith as a depth piece hurts. The lightbulb in Lindsay’s head is flickering so hopefully it turns on and he performs well.

It does seem odd doesn’t it? CSC may have felt the problem was the S&C.

Don't forget about DC Tabscott .8541 3 Star. The highest rate App has every recruited for QB, not counting Chase Brice who transferred here.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Well we have 20ish open spots to fill. Majority of those should be secondary, DLine, WR. The rest can be LB, OL and maybe QB. So, every position pretty much outside of RB.

I believe David Baldwin Griffin was slightly higher but not by much.

Re: Possible transfer situations
CMU QB entered the portal as a Grad Transfer. Could be a name to monitor considering he played under Barbay. Having multiple experienced backup QBs could be beneficial.

Re: Possible transfer situations
What is the deal with Tabscott? He's been here what 2-3 years now and has yet to crack the depth chart, or am I missing something?

Re: Possible transfer situations
The other thing we seemed to struggle with this season was holding blocks downfield. Whether it was receivers on the edge or lineman getting downfield, but not putting a body on someone, it seemed to affect our ability to break big runs. So many potentially big plays were stopped with a shoestring tackle at the second level.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 11:22 amI may be in the minority but OL isn’t a “huge” issue for me.
