I'm not a member of 24/7. What does throwing a woman mean?

C'mon New App.... It ain't rocket science here.
On a different note - It was interesting going through 24/7 tonight seeing all the former App guys that entered the portal in the past and never made it out or ended up in a worse situation. Raykwon Anderson stands out to me, among others. Originally committed to UNC before decommiting and coming here. Entered the portal and is now at Valdosta State according to his twitter (he isn't listed on the roster). Many of the guys who have entered thus far aren't getting much interest besides Smith. Wells had an OV to UMASS but I'm not sure that is better than a top FCS school. Hopefully these guys will have a wake up call to realize the grass isn't always greener. This is easy for me to say, but sometimes a college experience and good education is better than playing for bottom-tier D2 or D3 schools at best.

Re: Players Transferring AWAY
The harsh reality for many of these young folks that nobody seems to want to mention is that college is simply not for them and even a football player has to make some academic effort. The kids who are now sophomores in college spent a year and a half (at least) of high school laying in bed with a tablet or laptop. Many spent that time doing little to nothing and we're not made to do so. I can't speak for every school system but the one my two youngest attended allowed students to turn in assignments (such that they were) virtually whenever they chose. Kids would sign on to class then go to sleep. Fast forward a year or so and these same kids (to include athletes) are now expected to shift gears and buckle down academically. My wife is a high school administrator and speaks regularly about how far behind kids are even now.

Re: Players Transferring AWAY
To piggyback this and not in reference to athletes, these kids are being tested for progress as if there was no pandemic or change in education the past 2 years. These standardized tests are even more of a joke than prepandemicbigdaddyg wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 7:10 amThe harsh reality for many of these young folks that nobody seems to want to mention is that college is simply not for them and even a football player has to make some academic effort. Good point here, lockdowns had so many unintended consequences, many were shouting this issue and were ignored unfortunately.

Actually you can have a great experience and get an excellent education at a D3 school.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 12:52 amC'mon New App.... It ain't rocket science here.

Re: Players Transferring AWAY
There is a huge assumption that every player entering the portal does so because he wants more playing time. There are probably many reasons beyond that. Some simply find that they don't like where they are.
