You are correct Sir. Last Saturday when it was 7 degrees at sunrise I took the pup for an hour plus walk. The clothes I have bought thru the years for App games kept me very comfortable.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 8:30 amI was at the game. I'm sure the shaded seats were cold, but I was pretty toasty in my sunshine seats. Fortunately, I have App football to prepare me for cold weather games. Others in the stands looked miserable, but there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Damn, now there is a mountaineer quote.

Tepper seems to mess up a lot of things. But he didn’t mess up getting rich, so he gets to mess up a lot of other things.

Did anyone tell Tepper that he's worth $15 billion and he could have hired Wilks for $5M and paid Frank $4M to the be the highest paid OC in the NFL? Seems like that combo would have gotten the fans excited.
Missed opportunity.

Tepper could FUBAR a two car parade. Just ask York County, Rock Hill, and Foghorn McMasters
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

The lawsuit was against the NFL in general last year.
His attorney is already claiming racism for this one too, so I'm guessing another lawsuit against the Panthers will come of it.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
I wish the Panthers would have hired Del Wilks full time. He deserved it with the improvement the team made after Rhule. You wanted to watch them again. But the owner has the right to screw up his franchise just like the owner of a restaurant or any other business does. The buck stops with the owner. There are smart owners and stupid owners. Tepper certainly knows how to manage hedge funds but it hasn’t translated into managing a sports franchise so far. He’s not the only one that has screwed it up. But if Reich wins, the fans will be happy.

For any team that has never won a Super Bowl, their owner or past owners have ruined their franchise...or, if you have not sniffed a Super Bowl since Joe Willie Namath..or you are the Lions, your owner or past owners have ruined your franchise..

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
Wilks has now gone 9-19 as a head coach. That is mediocre to say the least. Reich's record is 41-35-1. That isn't stellar either but it is at least a winning record. Could it be that he got the job because Tepper honestly felt that he was the best choice all things considered? Oh no noooo. It's gotta be racism! Look, I don't care who this offends but I am sick of this stupid woke crap. Every time a black man doesn't get what he wants out comes the race card! Is it racist that there are far more black players in the NFL than white ones? How does Wilks lawyer feel about that one? Wilks race had nothing to do with him not getting the job. Had he gone even 7-5 as interim, I have no doubt he would have gotten the job. But he didn't.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
Stating a record without context is not an accurate comparison though. I do agree that his time coaching the Cardinals was not impressive, but he had a very nice run (in terms of improvement) as the interim with the Panthers. He did an admirable job of getting more out of the same players who had performed poorly before he was made HC. I think he'll get another shot somewhere....hope so at least. I don't know enough about the Cards to really comment on what he was dealing with that season.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
Although I have not followed the lawsuit closely...but this reference above "Is it racist that there are far more black players in the NFL than white ones?"... isn't this the point of the lawsuit. the NFL player pool is very diverse, however that does not carryover into the coaching ranks to head coach?...that is not a woke agenda..it appears, on paper, to be a fact. Personally, I feel, in this particular case, that the case has some merit and I am anti-litigation as a way to solve issues. If the case is successful, will it change something, who knows. As stated above, I have not followed the case, have not tracked the diversity of position coaches, coordinators, etc. that get consideration or passed over for HC. There is much to peel back of legal issue.
Just my opinion.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
Wilks wasn't the right guy, but neither is Reich. Wilks is a first class dude, but it was time for the Panthers to go "offensive" route and Wilks got throttled in the 2 games that mattered most. I hope he finds a good situation.
