Had the momentum coming out of that top of the 8th rally but then one pitch and it’s over. Tough loss for the series win but let’s get round 2 here in a bit. Anyone know why it’s a doubleheader rather than the Sun 1pm spot?

Did we get mercy ruled in the 3rd game? It wasn’t on ESPN+ but said final 7 so assumed it was called. Had the series in our grasp, oh well, do better and make the tournament cut.

DH’s are going to be a problem for this pitching staff. The depth just isn’t there.

Much parity in SBC this year. With that said, App. St. Will need to step it up over next several weeks as we have same number of losses as JMU which sits at 11th in the standings. We play several teams ahead of us and need to win one or two of those series and beat JMU and Ark St (both below us in the standings)... should be an interesting next few weeks.
We had Stink beat until we did not ..game of baseball is fun...

We give away a winnable series against a hated rival after last weeks meltdown.Game two was there for the taking , game three a nightmare .I find myself yelling at the TV - "throw a strike!" but expecting otherwise. After 6 and a half years our pitching with the exception of one , maybe two guys , is just poor . KS stock is falling fast .

Easy groundball to get out of the inning with a 1-0 lead….botched the ball. Now 3-1. Can’t win ballgames when you don’t back your pitcher up in a good outing.

So many wasted opportunities. Have gotten 1st batter on base each of the last 3 innings and nothing to show for it. No small ball. It’s the little things, and we struggle to do them. Walks, errors, bunt guys over.

Horrid L. Had 12 free passes on offense and still lost. 7 walks and 5 HBP. I think it’s time. We’re stuck in the mud.

1-6 record in the last 7 games, downward trend continues. Year 6 and it’s not looking good.

It appears we are firmly a .500 team... still have plenty of opportunities... but last in team era and second to the last in fielding pct... never mind no consistent clutch hitting... it doesn't bode well for the future. Let's hope they can turn it around.

Continue adding colleges/programs/degrees that lead to higher wages for alumni. Hickory will help with this. Higher wages equals more money to donate and give which leads to increased funding. We’re relatively new to D1, funding and donations take time as the brand continues to grow.

Agree that more money helps but that triggers some folks. It would be nice if we would add some programs that yield higher paying opportunities but I don’t think that actually is what the original post intended.
