No. They have some pitching injuries. They are 6-4 over last 10 games..which is uncoastal like...I believe announcer said that was their record over last 10

6.50+ ERA, not the best pitching team but can usually hit. We have out hit them the next 2 days.

Several months ago I asked a general question probably on a football thread. I asked when was the last time we thoroughly whipped a good team in any sport. I excluded close wins against P5's in football. I believe tonight was what I was looking for

Outstanding performance from the team overall. Hamilton was so sharp tonight... he was just dominate. Thowing strikes with his three pitches. Then you pair that with solid hitting, like 7 extra base hits.... well done boys!!!!!!! We can hit their pitching.

Felt like the goal preseason was a winning conference record. 3-5 to finish the season will do it, but right now that's the bare minimum IMO.

If this team can scratch another Coastal win to win the series, that would just be awesome with A-State coming to Boone next weekend, where a series win would be a must.

We've faltered on Saturdays a lot this season. Coastal has recently struggled on offense and got humiliated at home tonight. Rest of the weekend will be a lot harder

I've been disappointed at times this season, mostly because I had hopes that our pitching (collectively) would finally be a strength with a deeper bullpen this year based on the impressive recruiting class. Looking back at the season, I really have to temper that disappointment. Yes, pitching could have been better at times and has been a bit disappointing, but hitting has been significantly improved and defense has as well. We have won 23 games with 8 games remaining in the regular season and that is against a really strong schedule. The most significant thing that is different this year vs previous years is that this team performs well against good competition. I often see App teams criticized for winning the games we are "supposed" to win but stumbling against better competition. I don't really often agree with that criticism but in baseball, it seems to have been true. NOT THIS SEASON. We have series wins against some strong top 100 teams, and now a dominating win, on the road against an 8th ranked Coastal. I turned this game on in the 4th inning and got so excited! What a great performance by the Diamond Apps! And what is even better is, we didn't use up the bullpen to get it! I'm cautiously optimistic going into the rest of this weekend. BELIEVE! GO APPS!!!
