Cross had a wonderful outing. Inning was over but yes, he looks in pain as he threw his glove in the dugout. We need him bad, hope he’s okay. Really unfortunate, highest pitch count of his career.

With what was an 8-2 lead 22 pitches ago and no midweek game coming up, not sure why we didn’t just close this out with our horses.

If I did my math correctly a sweep of Troy and a sweep by Southern Miss over La means 3rd place. We win 2 of 3 and it's 4th. I'm not talking about any other scenario

We control our own destiny to a top 6 seed. Keep winning. Have a tough series this weekend. However, we have demonstrated we can compete.

It's really amazing how much shuffling can happen next weekend. Some teams could go into Sunday with nothing to play for and some could go up or down several slots with a win or loss. It's going to be a wild 3 days. It looks like a team could go from 4th to 9th or maybe even 10th or the other way with a sweep or being swept.

And that last game of the series which was cancelled could have helped us a good bit or could have sunk us in the standings. Looks like South Alabama got a few wins over some of the upper teams so some of that stuff levels out. We appear to be the only "contender " to lose to the two bottom teams which made the sweep this weekend huge. It's good to control your destiny sometimes and considering our lack of depth in pitching avoiding that first day would be big. It would stink to have to throw Hamilton in that game.

Really our only blip of the conference slate. Would have liked to have the Queens win in CLT too. Other than that, pretty dang happy where we are. See if we can steal 2 of 3 from Troy and keep this mojo rolling into SBCT.
