Hey, be careful man. Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself backpedaling and miss the game tomorrow.

10-15k eh? You mean like the way our fans turn out for the FCS playoffs....

The first game or two in the playoffs were always bad for attendance. It was later in the playoffs when we always had bigger crowds.

One reason is students have to pay to get in for playoffs.

Aside from 07 Richmond, I disagree.

No one cares about the FCS playoffs. Not even App fans.

If I remember correctly, students were admitted free for the last few playoff games. The school picked up the tab.

Another is the short notice and many want to wait until they see how far we will go. The first game is not as exciting to many.

You mean the thousands who tried to get tickets for the championships in Chattanooga and couldn't?

Our fans care about App butyes, I agree with the above post that short notice, kids being on vacation, holiday season ect are the main contributors. I'm just saying a first round FCS playoff game is just that and it's no surprise that demand is low.

Who's backpedaling now?

To say "no one cares about the FCS playoffs" wouldn't be a very lawyer-ish argument. After all, I know someone who rather enjoyed the playoffs and would have enjoyed staying in a certain division because of the postseason... In fact, I know of several people that would feel the same way....

And those same people will have a chance to enjoy playoffs once again. Much quicker than most think if certain conferences get their way. And that division that those people wanted to stay in will be a shell of it's former self.

100% is 100%... That means everyone.

You would have been better off saying, "the majority of folks don't care about the playoffs."

If I was standing among 100 people and you asked the question "Who here doesn't care about the playoffs" 99 hands might go up.

You're right... Math doesn't lie. But you do.

~12,000 people compared to ~30,000 does not demonstrate the kind of interest you're inferring.

My real numbers trump your hypothetical numbers. Stick to Adobe CS6.

Gonz... You said 100%. That's every. single. person.

In fact, your argument is idiotic at best. In fact you just proved (using numbers) that it's not 100%.

12,000 out of 30,000 is 40%.... In your fantasy world there would not have been a single person in the stands during a playoff game. Your logic is flawed, amiss, bad, defective, flawed, imperfect, blemished, broken, crippled, damaged, impaired, marred, spoiled, deficient, inadequate, incomplete, insufficient, wanting and just plain WRONG.

Just admit that you're utterly and completely wrong and we can give this thread back to Tdog....

A reasonable person would not interpret the term "nobody cares" (the term that was used) as absolutely 100%. You are deflecting by attacking an obvious rhetorical tool that was never intended to and would never rationally be interpreted as "100%."

I can't believe I'm wasting my time humoring you, but alas: The point is, again -- please pay attention this time -- that our playoff attendance illustrates a lack of interest in the FCS playoffs from our fanbase with the one exception of the UR game in 2007.

I would just like to point out to the court that Mr. Gonzo has apologized in his own way that he was indeed and completely wrong...

I'd like to enter into evidence the following information from http://www.thefreedictionary.com

"no one"
pron.
No person; nobody.

no′ one`
pron.
no person; not anyone: No one is home.

I rest my case.

Maybe you should check Black's Law Dic for the relevant terms (ie deflecting, rhetorical tool, rationally be interpreted ect), counselor.
