Why do you need Wi-Fi to watch a live football game?
You can’t simply enjoy the live event you’re at. How old are you?
I love live football and I love good wi-fi. I want to check other scores, take a look at in game stats, keep an eye on the Cabin, etc. while I'm at the game. I also might watch a replay or two during the TV timeouts. And, I may want to make a post or two on social media. if we truly want to be "the best 30,000 seat venue in America" ... connectivity is a part of that.

Beyond that, i thought the in-stadium experience improved in many positive ways last season. The staff did their homework and was ready for the big crowd for the Carolina game and that carried throughout the rest of the year.
I understand the reality of things, folks simply must be on a device these days. I also understand it offers some cool things. But I must say that way too many of us get caught up in what’s on the device and miss experience thats actually going on around us. I’ve been to a bunch of really awesome events over the last couple of years and I’ve had to make a conscious effort to put my device away and enjoy the moment. I also know that others around me using devices have been a distraction for me being able to enjoy the actual event I’m at. Just my two cents, moderate the use of your device, everyone including you will have a better game day experience. I’m not preaching directly at you. Just a general statement.
I go into the woods for 4 days and relish the lack of connectivity. However, at a game I want to keep up with scores (we’re not very good at doing that), check rosters-maybe research the opposing team. I can assure you that I am into every play, never leave a game early no matter the weather or the score, etc. Wi-Fi enhances my experience.

I don’t drink beer at the game (I may enjoy a few before hand), but I’m not going to tell to anyone that they can go 3.5 hours without a drink (as long as the maintain control of themselves)

We each have different ideas of what enhances the GameDay experience. Better Wi-Fi would be nice.
Completely understand, it’s just my experience that sometimes I find myself looking at my device and not really enjoying the moment. As for the alcohol, I’m just like you, a few before but nothing during the game.

The notion what is can be done to enhance the GameDay experience. If this is something would be welcomed by many then it's worth the consideration rather than a lecture on cell phone use. I don't drink and one certainly can enjoy a game without a beer and I'm sure has caused more issues than cell use but I'm not opposed to it being sold given it's popularity and revenue.
My comment wasn’t intended to lecture anyone. Just trying to have a conversation.

Is there a height limit on Buildings in Boone. Why are we not building parking decks higher? Is it an engineering problem that limits height or a zoning problem that limits height? All of our parking decks are the same height but could go higher and not mess with the already existing skyline. The buildings are higher....the parking decks should go the same height and match the skyline.

Always wondered how a tow truck gets a car in a parking deck on to a roll back.

Pretty sure wreckers are generally used in most parking decks…

Yes, there are limitations. I can't remember exactly what they are, but they are there. Campus also has more restrictions than the town does.

Alright, everyone. New director of your stadium experience. Time to blow up his email about cups with ice, bbq, and beer sales. Where is our Cabin reverend? Someone needs to say a prayer for this man.

Wi-Fi, it’s not that difficult.

I agree. I see people constantly on their phones. I rarely look at mine and don’t care. I’m there to watch football.

I am not on my phone that often at games either, but lets not act like there isn't enough down time in a game to check other scores or send a text or something else. Especially in the televised games, those tv timeouts seem to take an eternity. Better wifi will provide a better experience for many many fans.

I would like to be on my phone checking scores or whatever during the 2500 3 minute ESPN timeouts during a game.

I’ve had this thought bouncing around in my head since he was hired. I would think that this man could endear himself to the fan base by introducing some new traditions to the gameday experience(I.e.- Enter Sandman @ VT or Sandstorm @ USC). My personal choice would be to hear P.O.D.’s Boom played with the crowd chanting Boone at the appropriate times. I could see it catching on.

My mind keeps discounting the cost of implementing Wi-Fi in KBS. It would be nice to have but when I see the 7 digit cost, it falls WAY down on the list of priorities for me. I understand that it has to support a very large number of users/devices but it's just hard to wrap my head around that cost. I do think the 5G technology is about to be a game changer so wouldn't spend that money at this point.

The $25,000,000 beer revenue could certainly pay for it. One game experience revenue for another game experience.
