He is going to give it a go. I would not expect much from him in terms of productivity as I suspect that he will be on a snap count with assessments after each game.

I know we don’t expect a huge year from him but I am hopeful he stays healthy and has a massive year to prove everyone wrong. After all he has been through it would be a great story for him to be All-SBC this year. You have to admire his drive and determination to end his career on a high note.

I think at the very least Brendan will bring us some incredible leadership in the locker room, which will be huge.

But, I too, hope he’s able to have big year.

GO APPS!!

It very much would be good to see him have a good year and stay healthy. I think his snap count will keep his numbers and overall production at a level that keeps him from consideration for post season accolades. I’m a big fan of BH so I am rooting for him.

Did he have a stinger type injury or something? Obviously this hasn't been published anywhere (nor should it be), but I am curious about the injury that wouldn't allow him to be a full send but would allow for situational packages. It seems like you'd want to be able to go full tilt as a player.

Sort of the old adage that playing scared can get you hurt.

I’ll answer your question this way. And this is in no way meant to be a smart a$$ response. You don’t sit out the year with a stinger. You don’t wear the type of arm brace that he wore for an injury like that.

I can see why people are expecting that but I hope he stays healthy enough he can exceed expectations.

I understand that. I am far less interested in his on field production than is long term ability to live a quality life. I want him to be able to lift his grandkids up to hold them.

Given his injuries, how many years of eligibility does he have?
Personally hope he has opportunity to play as he seems like a good kid and wants to play.
With that said, the medical team needs to be monitoring him closely and make best decision for him long-term.

I am saying that I hope he is healthy enough to be able to enjoy this season, play well, and still have a good quality of life later on. My fingers are crossed that his health is better than we think.
