Chronological helmets of Sunbelt helmets.
I can only assume this is pretty accurate as I have no knowledge of our helmets history besides what fans post.

Interesting to see that our use of “yellow” pre-dates the “old gold” that a segment of our fan base are so fond of.

If I were to take the 3 best designs from each school...... with personal bias aside....I would rate us (App) #1 followed by LaLa at #2 then maybe Troy #3 and honorable mention going to Arky State and SBama.
KICK ASS!!!

Second row from the top, all the way to the right. My all time favorite helmet design.
Double legacy through both my parents, and remember as a kid looking through their yearbook which I believe was titled The Rhododendron and seeing the helmets with this look. Fan ever since.
White block A my second favorite.

That was my era as well. Would love to see a throw-back to that design./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 6:15 pmSecond row from the top, all the way to the right. My all time favorite helmet design.

The 1982 logo (2nd from the right on the 2nd row) is so underrated. At least the concept of it with the snowcapped mountain forming the A

I painted the snow capped "A" on a white pop up canopy years ago!! I do have it in a vehicle magnet as well.Yosef_Earnhardt wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:35 amThe 1982 logo (2nd from the right on the 2nd row) is so underrated. At least the concept of it with the snowcapped mountain forming the A

Re: Chronological helmets of Sunbelt helmets.
You're in luck. I was able to get a website to make two customer App State football helmets. Took me about eight months to finally get them to do it. One helmet is based off of the 1982 helmet (snow-cap) and the second based off of the 1983-1988 design. The helmet shells are in the modern design as the company did not have the retro helmet shells available.Yosef_Earnhardt wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:35 amThe 1982 logo (2nd from the right on the 2nd row) is so underrated. 1982 App State football helmet: https://tidewatercollectibles.com/shop/ ... elmet-1982
1983-1988 App State football helmet: https://tidewatercollectibles.com/shop/ ... et-1983-88
My next request to them will be the 1965 helmet logo and then the 1966 logo.
