Anyone, anywhere, anytime, might mean not always playing six home games. Personally, I'd give up a home game for a good regional away game.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:14 pmId like to see any North Carolina school again, UVA, Louisville, Cincy, Memphis, VT, Maryland, Tennessee, Vandy, Pitt, WVU, any Florida school

To me there are only 3 current G5 teams that would really excite me. Boise St, Houston, and SMU and theyre going to the ACC. So hoping its Boise StBUTCH1991 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 8:19 pmP2,3 or 4 or G5?CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 8:17 pmI know of one that hasn’t been announced, but will be soon. Respectfully and as a friend please never suggest that again. Game day at KBS is unlike anywhere else. Its beautiful, it's ours, honestly it the loudest stadium I've ever been to and I've been to some SEC games and it's our home.
1 home/2 away, 1 offs and neutral sites are fine as well but DONT sacrifice KBS

Agreed, plus I don’t think it would work from a revenue standpoint.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:11 pmNoappgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:40 pmAnyone, anywhere, anytime, might mean not always playing six home games. I'm getting on my soap box now b/c the thought of sacrificing a home game had me frothy...WASU 93 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:14 pmAgreed, plus I don’t think it would work from a revenue standpoint.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:11 pmNoappgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:40 pmAnyone, anywhere, anytime, might mean not always playing six home games. Every person on this board would tell you the best times they had in Boone were football related. Appalachian State University is AppSt Football and AppSt Football is Appalachian State University. Giving up home games to play some team is disrespectful to every person that has ever worn black and gold and walked up Stadium drive on a Saturday. If a team asked us to give up a home game then they aren't worth our time.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule????
With ESPN owning both the AAC and the SBC we really need to work a week in for the AAC/SBC challenge. Let ESPN make the line up with it being AAC home one year and SBC home one year. It would take care of a lot of scheduling and It could be close to the NFL model where the predicted better teams play the predicted better teams. It could be the 3rd or/and 4th week yearly.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule????
Cannot think of ANY G5 team that I would be OK with going on the road to play unless it would be the front end of a home and away deal with Boise, Memphis, Army, or Navy. A one off road game with a regional P5 wouldn’t make us any money even if there was a decent one close by which there isn’t (that we aren’t already scheduled with).

Re: 2025 Football Schedule????
I know of some old heads on here that would love to see it and I've heard Coach say on his weekly presser that it would be something good to see, but I pray to God that your inside scoop team is not Western Carolina. No more looking backward just to relive the "glory days" of a lop sided effort to fight over an old jug.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 8:17 pmI know of one that hasn’t been announced, but will be soon. We should try to get a series with Virginia Tech on the schedule so we can play them for the first time ever.

WCU is fine for our FCS opponent if it can work out, but if they're still holding to the home and home, it doesn't happen.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule????
Does any good G5 have a home and home with an average to below average FCS - or any FCS for that matter? Western plays teams like Alabama for the paycheck. That's a lose/lose for us financially.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule????
Surely not. If there is even one FCS school (and I'm including NDSU, Montana, etc.) that DG would be willing to hear a pitch for a home and home deal from...then regardless of all he has done, he is no longer deserving of the job.

App State is NOT going on the road for an FCS game. That is a delusional thought by any. Ha.
