#5 Michael Fletcher. He’s played in every game but behind Dingle-Prince on depth chart. #12 Collins from Rutgers starts though.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:21 pmWho is the dude we got from Michigan State? Does he ever play?

You are clinically insane for being prepared to eat crow. Even if we won out...which is laughable..clark should be fired for what he has done. Not just what he will continue to do

Announcer pegged it on that TD run. Ross was completely out of position. We are absolutely clueless on defense

To be fair, I’ve been vocal online and offline that Clark isn’t our guy. Hell, maybe Watauga High will have an opening to keep him local.

On one hand I get it. You put on the blinders and believe "who am I to be a couch QB" and "he's an App guy, we are the best!". But the reality is there are 850 something College Football teams and like 250 Div 1 teams. This isn't the NFL, alot of these guys are JAGs who chose a career in football or weren't good at much else. Most fans can see what works and what doesnt, and this App State team situation isn't working.

Our 2004 defense was really bad also because we were really young. Guess what, those young guys got experience and learned to play and we went on to have unprecedented success. We are playing a ton of young guys, they will get better and we will return to our old ways, just maybe not this year. We all know Sloan can coach D, just needs some time for the young kids to learn how to play. Things will improve.

We will win this game. But we are so poorly coached. But he bleeds Black & Gold. His only effing qualification.

Incredibly well said. I love when I hear fans pretend they know so much about football that they defend every loss. The reality is...the most average fan has the expectation that the program has set. If you cant meet average expectations...you are not fullfilling your job. No coach can survive an angry fan baseappstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:28 pmOn one hand I get it. I don't know that Sloan can coach Defense. Same issues week after week and no progression leads me to believe he may not know howt4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:29 pmOur 2004 defense was really bad also because we were really young. Clarke, Ross, Jalik, Tyrek, Yowe (secondary) have been playing college football for years. They aren’t young.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:29 pmOur 2004 defense was really bad also because we were really young. Re: Moving On To ODU
So the 6-7 games on a new team with new and many young players is more telling than his previous successful years of coaching defense? Yeah, we just have to agree to disagree on that one. The guy has proven throughout his career that he can coach defense.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:32 pmI don't know that Sloan can coach Defense. Re: Moving On To ODU
Rough stuff. I don't have a way to watch the game, but I'm listening to the commentary and watching the score like olden times. Sounds like its the same issues on defense as usual, anything I'm missing?

Re: Moving On To ODU
There’s been some strange play call sequencing, but the offense is the bright spot of this team. If the friggin o-line would stop holding, the offense would be on fire.
The defense is God awful, and it seems like they know it. There’s no fire or intensity because they just get smoked every play.

Yeah that's that crowd that stays positive with the Panthers in week 14.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:33 pmDespite how bad things are right now, there are a handful of "fans" on here who be like:
