Agreed. I am actually sad about it but I was not going to be delusional either. I judge him the same way I would have judged Drink or any other coach. I always had some internal doubts that he was the right hire but I wanted it to work out and thought it was fine to give him a shot. We just can't afford to keep going down this road. Unless he goes 8-4 or 7-5 I think we will and should move on.

Clemson in last 13 games 7-6 record

Penn State 7 straight losses to Ohio State and 3-16 vs top 10 teams (he's got an 85 million dollar deal)

App State since the Troy Hail Mary game 7-9

Both Clemson and App were the King of the Hill not that long ago, interesting times.

Other programs going through it also.

Looking at ESPN FPI predictions we are heavily favored vs SoMiss and slight favored vs GaSo. Slight underdog vs Marshall. Heavy underdog vs GaState and JMU. I don't see us losing to SoMiss but who knows. Marshall from what I have seen is in the same dumpster fire as us so it could literally be a toss up. GaState and JMU are clicking along pretty good, I don't see us winning those. GaSo just throw out the record books on that one. They have games ahead of them they could lose them all and we could have a repeat of last year with both of us fighting for bowl eligible on the Hate game. Right now I see our top out at 6-6. Gut says 4-8, ZERO confidence in Clark getting the team prepared each week.
Chance to Win:
SoMiss 83.8% Home
Marshall 49% Home
GaState 35.3% Away
JMU 23.3% Away
GaSo 51.2% Home
Those are depressing odds.

Odds had us beating Coastal and ODU also. We may just get USM out of their funk....

I would not be shocked at a USM loss. I am leaning towards picking us to lose this game.

Clark gets the team prepared, but it's the carry over from practice to the field in execution and the ability to play 4 solid quarters that's lacking.

They have not been smoked all season, fine line between winning and losing, some years it goes your way 2019, some years it's 2023.
Since moving to the FBS level, this is the best and deepest competition App has faced in the SBC. Potentially every SBC east team could make a Bowl, JMU top 25 and going undefeated.

If #TeamClark can win this game they are favored to win, one thing I will say, he does better when they are the underdog.

So this maybe setting well for #TeamClark down the stretch. I am rallying back that it's not over yet.

It is not officially over yet but he will have to win 4 of the final 5 games. The month of November is the toughest stretch of this entire schedule so it will be tough. I just don't see it happening.

I’ll agree with most of what you said but 2019 can’t be counted he did coach them but since we’ve look very predictable and I think teams are seeing that.

I wish it could, but it isn't happening. Since the first game against GW, I really haven't seen progress in any of the phases. Seriously, have any of you seen any part of this team where you can say, they have really stepped up their game? I'm not knocking the players, it's about the coaching. Our players have FBS talent. Our coaches are failing at putting them in position to succeed.

With how the last 2 years have gone it almost feels like a lock that USM beats us but we dominate JMU for 4 quarters and steamroll them in Harrisonburg

Here is my take. I think we let them score that final score. Coach Clark at the end put our players in a position to win....they missed some key catches. We had some players that would go up and take the ball away from the defender, I think we are missing that now. That being said...the runs on first and second downs are giving the receivers less opportunity. I think at this point we should become an air raid. We CANNOT run the football at will. We seem to be able to pass the ball at will. Maybe because they are stacking the box.

Honestly, being in attendance at the Wyoming game, I really thought our defense had turned the corner. Other than the deflating long run that we gave up after the Pick 6, we played strong and dictated to their offense. At that point, I thought we were in good shape.
