JMU SBC East Champions....I would hang a banner.
JMU is tough. The SBC East is going to be a tough division. The good news is that if you run the gauntlet with no losses you should be ranked with a chance to win the SBC and playing for a Playoff spot in the SBC championship game.
The CON is it is going to be tough to stay healthy with this division.

The whole transition thing might be the single dumbest aspect of college football

Sooner or later, there won't be any programs left to transition.

I agree. College Football has turn into the wild wild west so Give them a bowl game. More money, exposure, branding for Sun Belt. How about JMU vs Liberty

The conference sure would benefit from the cash an NY6 bowl, especially, would bring in. And I think JMU would have a strong case for that spot this year.
But since they can't go anyway, let's beat 'em Saturday and spoil their year. (Which, to be fair, would be what I'd be rooting for even if they COULD go to an NY6, but that's neither here nor there.)

I've been saying the same. JMU, if selected to the NY6, would make more money for the SB in that one game than all the others put together. They really hurts App and all the other SB teams.appchicago wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 2:50 pmThe conference sure would benefit from the cash an NY6 bowl, especially, would bring in. A Richmond Times-Dispatch sports columnist was pushing that as a possibility, given that they are both unbeaten at the moment.

The original reasoning for the rule was good. Not as much with the portal. It’s still the rule though. Too late to change it now. If JMU was 6-4 it wouldn’t even be an issue, or not as big an issue.

1. He's only acting because he went to JMU. Guarantee you had he attended UVA, he'd do nothing.appdaze wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 8:06 pmGonna sue for JMU

2. I can think of many other more important things he can do for the state.
3. NCAA will keep this tied up in court as long as possible, then just sweep it under the rug.
4. Time to give it a rest already. Pat McAfee will talk about it more tomorrow while his show shoots on campus, they'll talk about it more on Saturday, and still nothing will change.
5. They still have a shot at a bowl, not like they're completely out of a chance.
6. Why doesn't Jacksonville State and Rich Rod raise hell? They're bowl eligible.
7. Enough is enough (I know I said that already)
