We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

To my earlier post about JMU leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth, this meme is an excellent example of that.
As a regional school and one that's pretty new to FBS sports, the Dukes are working overtime to establish a negative reputation.

Think about how the programs are/will be perceived by others:

"App State? Oh yeah, you guys beat Michigan and Texas A&M."

Versus...

"James Madison? Oh yeah, you guys were the ones who whined, cried & sued the NCAA when you didn't get your way."
I took a fast look over at their message board, they're not taking the loss very well. LOL One person said he wanted to punch the ref that called the OT TD in the mouth. Nevertheless, last year we were upset about a "suspected" missed call as well. Thus in the end, things even out, in theory that is.
We wouldn't be either. Pretty similar situation and the 2019 loss to Stink still kills me.

You have to wonder if JMU was 6-5 right now would they be raising the same hell.

Evidently it only took one loss to get them to this point of dropping the lawsuit.

I think several factors played a role. Given the holiday weekend coming up, the earliest anything would come down would be Monday after the championship teams would have been determined on Saturday. Not sure conference would have been pleased. I'm guessing the fact that there are decent odds they may make a bowl, perhaps they thought it was not worth the potential upsetting of the applecart. I wouldn't be surprised if Cignetti had a role in the dropping of the suit.

According to one of their posters, “our game was their (App’s) Super Bowl.”

No team in the history of football has played in 3 “Super Bowls”, according to opposing fan bases, in a calendar year. Maybe App should hand out a couple 2023 Super Bowl rings to the players. 8-)

I wonder if Cig and the players see the about face on the lawsuit as lack of support from the administration. They talked a big game before pulling the rug. JMU could be searching for both an AD and a new head coach this off-season with a president many in their fan base feel is spineless after this decision.

This is only the begining of many years to come. They are special. Not sure what the next thing will be but there will be a next thing for sure. They are a unc mini me.

On the SB coaches conf call this week their coach spent the first part after say App played good, talking about the hope for getting into postseason. Seems the coach should kind of stay out of that to me. Clark refused to answer about JMU's situation for postseason.

Love them or hate them...they do it have it going right now across the board. Football is still ranked, basketball is ranked, their men's soccer is in the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament, their volleyball team made the Sun Belt final, and their women's soccer team made the NCAA tournament. I think we're going to have a lot of reasons to hate them going forward.

Is this the first time we've beaten a ranked team and they were still ranked afterwards?

It's not as good as us being ranked ourselves, but nonetheless a sign of respect.

I hope there are exactly 82 six win teams and watch their heads explode.

I am torn on it. Either way it’s good for us and league. Seeing their heads explode would be funny but having them in a bowl is good for the league as well.

A&M was still ranked after we beat them last year.

Would be crazy if after this weekend it sits at 81 teams and have to wait another two weeks to see if Navy wins for the 82nd spot
