Actually, I was expecting that type of post from DOTE…because none of us believed in Clark or the team like he did.

Re: Saw this happening ---
You are correct in that. I know I sure didn't. Clark deserves to relish in this and so do the players. His post game interview you could tell he was loving putting us haters in our place. I don't mind it one bit. I like the swagger and people with chips on their shoulders. Give us hell big man....give us hell. Now go beat Troy and finish this.

It's not that hard - just have to have faith in a group of young men who from day 1 had not one ounce of quit in them, unlike some of our fansBTK2000 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 9:38 pmI’m so glad for you that you are such a good fan. I am not sure everyone characterized the beginning of the season as $©®t show. Going into the season, reasonable people noted that the defense was very young and that we had a new QB at the helm. The thinking was that the team would get better as the season progressed. How many players on defense made a significant impact on defense were Satt or Drink recruits contributing on D. Not many, if any. It was easy for the "jump off the cliff" mentality to get caught up in one game, one play etc. what some of us saw was a very young team that played hard until the final whistle and thought if they could learn to finish, we had a chance to. E good. For example, look at Hopper and Johnson at the beginning of the year ar compared to end of year. At the beginning of the year, they would make the big play..but were often out of position as they had the same rush idea on most every play. Now,, with experience are making the good plays but with much more discipline....that is what we hoped would happen. With all that sad, I did not expect a full change in defensive philosophy behind the the D line as we have seen over the past five weeks.BTK2000 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 8:30 pmLol The “I’m a better fan than you” crowd is out in force. Let’s be real, this season was a s**t show until homecoming and I’m glad they turned it around. I hope you get your box of cookies for being such a good fan

No one quit; kept giving, kept going to games, kept hoping for the best. And always pulling for a fellow true Mountaineer.

Yeah. That’s not how I remember it. But I really don’t care enough to keep receipts.

I’m glad the team turned it around. That said, this thread is in poor taste. It reeks of a really “poor winner”. Na na na boo boo…I’m a better fan than you!

Some of you guys are showing where you stand - I did not call myself or others with like beliefs "better fans" (your words) - only that we truly believed this would happen and never lost faith in the team or coaches. If you can't handle that maybe you should reconsider where you stand.

Look man, nothing you or I “believe” has anything to do with this winning streak. I’m thrilled about it but in truth I didn’t think it was going to happen. But again that had no effect on this team. I didn’t think it would happen but I still kept going to games and cheering for the guys. I still wanted Coach Clark to succeed and I was going to keep giving to the Yosef club. Point is the credit goes to the coaches for figuring things out and having the guts to make some changes and to the players for sticking together when they could have fallen apart.

Most of us true Mountaineers were standing in KBS on the field celebrating with the East Division champs.
Missed you.
