Haven't seen any talk but Duke has lost their coach to Texas A&M, maybe if Clark beats them, they'll offer him $3 Million and he'll turn it down?ASUPATCH wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 4:19 pmUSA Today has this gem projected right now

Would love anything I could actually make it to, anything overnight stay probably doesn't allow me to go.

Got my eyes on the Famous Toastery Bowl. I mean, it’s famous, that should be the one we all hope for!

I'm behind on the times I guess. What is Toastery?NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 5:51 pmGot my eyes on the Famous Toastery Bowl. I mean, it’s famous, that should be the one we all hope for!

Famous Toastery is a breakfast restaurant. Think it started in Charlotte, but may be wrong about that.Yosefus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 6:18 pmI'm behind on the times I guess. All of the projections I’ve seen have had really intriguing matchups so far (except for Eastern Michigan).
Any P5 opponent is the goal but a top tier G5 like Liberty, Miami (OH) and Toledo would be solid as well I think. They don’t necessarily move the needle name wise but they are all having great seasons.

Would hate to play Liberty then turn around play them again next year. Give me Notre Dame or Penn State, nothing less.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 8:40 pmAll of the projections I’ve seen have had really intriguing matchups so far (except for Eastern Michigan).

If we got a P5 they need to be at least 7-5. More local the better for any of the second tier bowls. It's probably gonna be some MAC team so no point in holding out hope for a good P5.

Great interview with DG. He states that the MB bowl is a "Been there, done that" thing. He also mentions the Cure Bowl and how it's a game the program/administration/fan base has wanted to participate in since the beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up in Orlando if we don't get a better offer.

With Troy likely to play in New Orleans, I could see us paired with the MAC champion in the Cure Bowl.

Sounds like it would be a game on ABC, which is a box the Cure Bowl checks.

Sounds great. If I'm an 18-23 year old who is in Boone playing ball I'll take several days in Orlando versus Myrtle Beach in December. While a bigger game in Charlotte versus a P5 sounds better to the hardcore fans these young guys would probably prefer a trip to Florida.

Not sure I agree on the P5 related part of the discussion. I feel like our guys want to play against P5 teams to show them and everyone else that we belong. Us against the world type of mentality.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 10:43 amSounds great. Flight to Orlando is fairly cheap (30k miles or $400). Might have to find a way to try and make that one…
Give 'em hell!

You could be right but does it prove anything to beat a 6-6 P5 just because they are in a certain conference? Do these players really care about that stuff as much as we do? Haven't we already proven that we belong at the adult table?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 10:58 amNot sure I agree on the P5 related part of the discussion.
