Ok here is the way this weekend started,
10/11 - Furman 7pm @ HCC
10/12 - Wofford 7:30 pm @ HCC
Now it is:
10/11 - Furman 7pm @ HCC
10/12 - Wofford 7:30 pm @ Varsity Gym
So how is playing a game in HCC on Friday and then moving the tables, chairs, net, and oh yeah the playing floor to VG either @ 11pm on Friday night or @ 6am on Sat before the tailgaters get to campus and make it hard to get the equipment back and forth, a good idea. If you are going to move one, move both or leave well enough alone.
I get the concept of moving the game but splitting the games and doing it on homecoming ?
Update:
Wrestling is having an event in Varsity earlier in the day, so they will have to wait to put the floor down.

Re: VB: Who's bright idea was this?
They just want to capitalize on the out-going football game crowd. Not a bad idea since it's a free event. Ginipro has long wanted to move volleyball to Varsity due to the better home-court advantage there (much louder). Taking the volleyball floor, the scorers tables, one stack of chairs and the net over to Varsity isn't that hard. Should take no longer than 90 minutes with 4-5 workers and one truck trip to get it ready.
I'm guessing the issue is availability. A lot of programs use the facility. It gets way more use than the Holmes Center and doesn't have a full-time staff like the HCC does.

Re: VB: Who's bright idea was this?
The floor takes 2 trips and a fork lift to move. There are ~9 tables that can not be stacked, ~50 chairs (10 - 15 chairs each bench, ~20 chairs scorer's tables, 10 - 15 seats for courtside seating).
VG is only set up for about 400 - 600 seats.
The volleyball games that have been after football games at the Holmes Center have always been well attended.

Ginipro told me on Twitter that the wrestling event actually makes things easier because there's less stuff to move.
And in another note, he absolutely reads this message board.
