I was happy to watch NCSU win last night, but I imagine the following internal conversations happened after the game:

NCSU fans - "YES! It took 37 years but we're finally ACC conference champs again and are going to the Dance!"

Coach Keatts - "WHEW! Oh wait...I need to call Mayflower and tell them to hold off on sending that moving truck."

31- 3 gets JMU a 12 seed. That seems like the kind of BS that isn't good for us.

Sun Belt was very weak this year. Only other great team in the conference beat JMU, twice. Not surprised. Will be a tough matchup with Wisconsin, then potentially Duke the second round.

Just goes to show you we had no shot at a berth in the NCAA tournament. I hope they can somehow make a run. It would be good for our league if both JMU and App win 2-3 games in their tournaments.

That is straight up bullshit. Cooking the books for the Prig5 conferences. I literally stopping streaming off P+ as soon as I saw that. They know exactly when they lost me as a viewer.

I have done course work at Davidson, UMBC, William & Mary, and Teachers College-Columbia along with App State. I might follow those schools if they make it in, and that is about it. Daughters went to VCU and UNCG so some support for them and I work on the UNCG campus. I feel towards JMU as I do GaSo. I don't care how much it might help App State to see a Sun Belt team advance I see them as a MAIN rival and wish then nothing good, well, I have a VERY hard time rooting for them.

Same.

Guarantee you most students and fans at Rider weren't pulling for St. Peter's during their elite 8 run. And outside of it being mentioned as associated with the team, nobody was all of a sudden thinking, man we should pay attention to the MAAC. Not sure how it would help the Sun Belt as a whole for JMU to win. Maybe with multiple bids that made some noise in the dance it might turn heads, but not just one team. With that being said, I hope Wisconsin wins big.

I can usually root for a conference mate, but I hope Wisconsin beats those insufferable pricks by 50.

So true but we also have losses to Texas State, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, Arkansas State, and Asheville. None of those teams made the field. Our quad 3 and 4 losses really hurt us. We also don't have street cred like Gonzaga to help us either.

I would stop just short of being ok with App going down in proverbial flames if it meant Marshall, JMU, GaSo, and CCU did not have anything to brag about. That is what a rival is all about. In ways I hate them as a sports team more than I love App. I'll spite App if it keeps those other 4 schools down down.

The other schools in the SB I will be happy to cheer for and that will help App.

Being a fan of a sports team may be the most illogical thing anyone can do when it comes to rivals. Yet, here I am.

Toss in Charlotte and ECU for non-conference.

IMO, Texas State and Arky State weren't the daggers. Conference losses happen to every team when they shouldn't.

In my opinion, if dude buddy from UNCA doesn't shoot 6000% from 3, we're in.
