I'll be there I hope and that last time we were there it was a great game.

Would be nice for Xavier to beat Georgia and we get to host in the second round.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:41 pmConsidering they let in Xavier at 16-17 it would have been a joke if we were not

Re: NIT
It would be, but I wouldn't assume or expect we would host that game.AppinVA wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:42 pmWould be nice for Xavier to beat Georgia and we get to host in the second round.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:41 pmConsidering they let in Xavier at 16-17 it would have been a joke if we were not

Re: NIT
NCAA owns the NIT, of course we had doubts. I am sure this is the first year they could make changes in the NIT selection as the previous manner was to keep anti-trust concerns away. Letting regular season champs in the NIT if they did not make the NCAA was nothing more than keeping the FTC away and Sherman.

Re: NIT
Obviously we all wanted to be in the dance, but this is still a big accomplishment for this team. I hope we can get a good crowd to Wake for this one.

I think that is the first time I have ever heard Velvet Underground on a TV ad.

Re: NIT
I assume they have been practicing figuring we had something if only the CBI, which would have been a shame but I am sure a tourney we would have played in as well.

Re: NIT
With all the teams backing out and our resume there was no way we get left out. I feel like we could lose in first round or win this tournament. We have a talented team and it just depends on how well we shoot.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:51 pmNCAA owns the NIT, of course we had doubts.
