Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
It looks like a lot of our baseball games are not on ESPN+. Why would that be?
JMU is not on ESPN+
The games not on ESPN+ seem to be Sunbelt games. Are they covering Softball games instead??

I saw the times got bumped up a little but unsure on how serious the weather is.

Matt Present does PBP. He has experience calling minor league games in Florida at the AAA level. He’s also the radio guy for men’s basketball.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
I remember a snow game in April in Boone. We were wearing white. Had the heaters going in the dugout and 15 dudes huddled in the bathroom to stay warm. The kids from Florida were questioning why they came to App State. Furman coach was ripping heaters in their dugout, could smell it throughout the park.
Pollard loved that crap though, told us it was a competitive advantage and we believed it. "You're only cold if you think you're cold". "No coach, it's April and it's dang cold".
Catching major league flies in the snow was one of the coolest/worst experiences I've ever had haha!

He does a great job. Very descriptive and professional.
Did he call men's BB by himself without a color analyst?

Who’s the color guy with him? Not sure he really knows ball but he understands it enough and knows players and lingo. All in all, our crew is pretty good. Wish our CF camera could be mounted to the batters eye for a better angle and more stable.

Have to wonder if the low angle is intentional to keep it out of the wind and minimize it toppling over.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Played a high school double header in a steady snow. Somehow, the field stayed clean. There was close to an inch of snow down both baselines. I’ve never been as miserable as that day.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 8:25 amI remember a snow game in April in Boone. We were wearing white. Every game minus the WF game in Shelby and the ODU away series are set for ESPN+.
EDIT: And ODU's schedule says those games will be on ESPN+

A lot of those ESPN+ logos got added after I wrote that first comment. We had at least 3 series including the JMU not showing any tv or ESPN+.
