We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Soccer, like most sports, can be fun to follow…especially if you have a team to pull for.

I can't remember a match where the US so dominated - the keeper kept about 5-6 great shots out of the net - I'm guessing Bolivia is not very good

FIFA World Rankings:
US - 11
Uruguay - 14
Panama - 43
Bolivia - 84
Not scoring a third goal may prove to be costly as the runner up in our group will likely face Brazil, who the US is 1-18-1 all time.
Uruguay will not be as gracious to Bolivia in their second match.

I never cared much for soccer until my son was picked for his middle school and varsity squads. And then I was hooked.
Like volleyball, it’s one of those games that is a completely different experience when you’re live and in person. To truly appreciate it, you have to see it live.

Same for me with my nephew. I’m now a season ticket member for North Carolina FC in Cary. They play in USL Championship. Very good pro soccer and affordable. I love watching live and on TV.

Goal differential a big deal... Should have scored more. we have to beat both panama and Uruguay to avoid brazil. Weston McKinney need a shot of B12

In all fairness I enjoyed playing and coaching the game. To me it's not a wonderful spectator sport but each his own. Kidding about comparing it to watching paint dry. The variations in different applications and varieties of paint is really quite fascinating.

The insane prices will probably keep me from taking my youngest. He wanted to go to the games in charlotte, but when I looked the nose bleeds were $220 each.

Most soccer games are like soap operas. You can tune in, leave for an hour then come back and you have missed nothing. Just kidding. I know there is more to a nil to nil game than I know about.

Columbia, who beat the US recently, is actually the top of that group not Brazil.

Either Columbia or Brazil will be a tough draw in the second round, I'd still rather face Columbia.
I saw the best take on the Euro and Copa cups. Watching the Euro is like watching a full choreographed dance routine, while the Copa is like watching a knife fight. Both very entertaining in their own way.

How many teams generally win games after losing a man that early in a match- when they are already fairly evenly matched? Has to be rare. I don’t really follow soccer but I saw that happen last night and knew the US was in trouble.

We don't make it out to the group stage unless Panama lays a huge egg vs. Bolivia. We'll likely need to beat Uruguay by 2 to advance, that isn't a likely outcome.

At least they’re consistent.
