We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

When Eli lost to Ga Southern there were only 18,ooo fans at the game.... No one attended when Satt was coaching, 14,000 a game type numbers.
WEAK SAUCE for an undefeated team at the time.
#TeamCLark popularity and beating #6 Texas A M has made the place explode with 36,ooo per game.
That is NOT TRUE and you know it. Had it been the case, there would have been talk about not making the threshold attendance numbers to remain on FBS. We haven’t been anywhere close to the 15,000 mark since your buddy Roachel Laney was in charge.
Understand this I do NOT make false post on stats and data without having proper information. This below is a copy and past from the wiki web site when you google 2019 App State Mountaineer Football Team.
Source was 2019 App State Mountaineer Football Schedule on Wikipedia
October 26 Noon at South Alabama No. 21
Ladd–Peebles StadiumMobile, AL
ESPNU W 30–3 17,969
October 31 8:00 p.m. Georgia Southern No. 20
Kidd Brewer StadiumBoone, NC (rivalry)
ESPNU L 21–24 18,796
November 9 7:00 p.m. at South Carolina*
Williams–Brice StadiumColumbia, SC
ESPN2 W 20–15 80,849
While you numbers are correct, and confirmed on the AppStateSports website, Wiki isn’t the hill that I would choose to die on.

Way to pick out a frozen Thursday night. But that doesn’t explain away the 14,000 during the Satt era.
We drew comparable numbers to the CCG against Louisiana.

Personal perspective…I’m 73…maybe 10 more years on this Earth. I’ve seen us get beaten by Bluefield St. I saw us beat Michigan USC and UNC. I’ve seen the program continue to
grow from one where the media couldn’t pronounce Appalachian to a point we are known nationally. The NIL fiasco has tempered near term expectations. I used to foam at the mouth over a bad loss. Today I take this bad loss with a grain of salt. Disappointed for sure but it doesn’t upset me to the point I’m looking for heads to roll. I’m a long-haul Mountaineer. We will survive this loss and we will see what happens next. If it’s a bad year, those things happen but we always get past them.
Hey Old timer - I got news for you the media still cannot pronounce App-a-lay-chun State...
You still only have 3 full time media that covers the athletic department, Watooga Newspaper, Blowing Rock Newsletter and App State Online Mania web site and does 2 of the 3 even count??
Hopefully you will live long enough to see #TeamClark take the App's to CFP.

My question is why someone would actively hate Clark and be rooting against him. It’s been 5 years. We haven’t completed our stated goal with him at the helm once. Our once great defense sucks and has sucked for years.
I love Clark as a person. I wish he was doing well here.
Nobody on this page actively hates Clark that I know. Are we concerned I am.
It’s the go to argument from his greatest defenders, that we want to see him fail. And it’s a ridiculous take that makes no sense.
I don't think I have spoken to one person who wants to move on from Clark who is happy about it. Everyone, except Everts maybe, wanted him to succeed. I thought last year he was done and was ready to move on after the season but then we had the turnaround. I was very happy about the turnaround and believed that we should go 10-2 this year if we got some help on the lines. I think the defenders and those who want Clark gone should probably table that conversation until things play out. What if we finish 10-2, win the SBC title game, and then win a bowl to go 12-2? I am not expecting quite that good but it is way too early to count anything out.
I will say that I expect to GATA against ECU. We are -2.5 favorites on ESPN.com right now.
If we don't win by 20 or more I will be let down. I expect this game to be for us what our game was for Clemson.
20 points? Careful that's a lot of points to hang your hat on. I'd expect ECU has improved since last year. I think we'll win, by a couple of scores considering what happened, 10-14, because of the style we lost. ECU is closer to APP in talent than APP is to Clemson.
Early last week, I thought we'd catch Clemson's best shot, but as the week progressed my Black & Gold glasses got fogged and I thought we'd hang with them.
Remember when some folks said that they don't buy into players getting mad and after a series everything settles down? Clemson showed that players do get mad. That is what I am expecting from our team. I am looking for us to come out firing with a chip on our shoulder to show we are a SBC title contender and that Clemson game was just a one time thing. If we had played them before Clemson I would have expected a 1 TD game but I am expecting us to make a lot of changes and come out fired up to prove a point.

Sadly, you are right about the media. We are known but many still don't pronounce it correctly. One I know who does that use to not pronounce it right is Kirk on College Game Day. LOL.
On the CFP, it won't happen this year and with a new QB I don't think it will happen next year either. I would love to see Clark lead us to the CFP but every year I hear "next year" or the "money divide" so I am not going to expect it to happen.

As so often is the case, I agree with you. I've been leaning towards moving on for a few years now, but Clark showed me an ability to adapt last season and I was willing to run it back with him this year. I'm still of that mindset, despite the Clemson debacle I witnessed live. It's fair to say it was embarrassing, it was absolutely embarrassing. But I do believe it had more to do with where Clemson was that night than where we were. You could feel it in the stadium and hear it game week in Dabos voice. He knew it'd mean something to pound us into oblivion.
I could hear it with Dabo too and I almost predicted them to win by 28-30 but just hoped we were as good as the buzz was in the off-season. I will say that I hope Shawn transforms into that same coach and realizes he needs to pound some teams into oblivion. I don't want to see us take the foot off the gas until we are up by 40 in a game if we can do it. I am looking to see us beat ECU something like 42-21 or so.

100% he should. If he really has the playoffs as a goal then now he needs to prove this was a one time thing and go on a rampage! People don't want to talk about this loss but that is the wrong idea. I think it is all we need to talk about. I want our team pissed off. Aren't you pissed? I am pissed!!! We got embarrassed on national TV and now it is time to take it out on the Sun Belt, ECU, and Liberty.
If I had the money I would pay someone to drive by the practice field every day with a bull horn to yell the score and that we suck just to piss our guys off.

I expected to us to compete. We did not. After the third play anyway. A hard fought twenty point loss , ok. A record setting romp , not ok.If we can’t compete don’t schedule the game. Beat EZU. No excuses.
Very worrisome that a "this is the year" team got beat by 45 and gave up 700+ yards. Have to turn the switch on, can't have another no show performance.

Of course, the assumption is that athletic donations only come from alums. Given the following that Clemson has throughout the state of SC and beyond, my guess is that alot of folks who don't have alumni ties to the school donate for more than non-alum fans of App.
Not to mention Clemson won a National Championship in the early 1980's and were one of two IA/FBS schools in SC for roughly 100 years. Not to mention their recent success has driven them even further. We should being doing better but they are on a different level in fan support.

Clemson at home is only favored by 7.5 over NC State.... who just lost by 40 to Tennessee.
I'm all confused now. Clemson wins by 45- State loses by 40. Not sure what that says about App. I would have guessed Clemson -14 over State

When Mack retires, Jamey Chadwell or Eli Drinkwitz will be our top 2 choices!!! Can't wait to watch Chadwell coach in a couple weeks at KBS. I have been sent to scout and analyze his abilities. Since I am the top Tar Heel.

I'm all confused now. Clemson wins by 45- State loses by 40. Not sure what that says about App. I would have guessed Clemson -14 over State
Pretty sure I'd take Clemson to cover that. NCSU looked bad against WCU and worse vs UT.
Where do you see that line since NCSU plays LA Tech this weekend?

The line is intended to spark wagering. Clemson was not and is not 45 points better than App. They punched us in the mouth early and it got out of hand. We likely scrapped the game plan and worked on stuff.
Drawing comparisons to spreads is as useful to applying the transitive property to football outcomes.

Clemson isn’t as good as Saturday, app isn’t as bad, nc state isn’t as bad.
Basically bad and/or good days happen for all teams is what you can infer from the odds.

If Clemson gets pressure on McCall. They win going away...State's running game has not been very good and McCall has not been McCall early in CCU career . My personal hope is that Clemson wins by a bunch ..and McCall gets hit often. I do not want him to get injured.. but I want him to cry for his mommy by the time game is over ..
