We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Dude, it like you want bad things to happen. I understand that you want Clark gone but the whole thing doesn’t have to burn to the ground for that to take place.

I haven’t talked to anyone but it appears that every effort is being made to play in Boone.

Obviously not on the level of a football game, but App State field hockey takes on #1 UNC TarHeels in Boone today. Small steps back to normalcy.

I’ll be there. That 90% confidence that the game would be in Winston is now what? 10%?
more like 65% now. depends on if the high country can handle the numbers

No. I want to see how people are faithful during tough time for the program or are they like UNC and only have 15k yesterday.

We won't have 35k but we also won't drop to 15k either. I think we will be around 25-29k. I think Shawn better win the next 2 games or attendance will drop even more and Gillin will definitely decide to move on due to seeing attendance and revenue decrease.

Gillin should have already made the decision. That’s what is scary. No one is willing to lay their n*t’s on the table for this program to right the ship and turn it around.

No chance 30k show up with a 2-4 record, Hurricane Helene and the Charlotte Luke concert.
Closer to 20k than 30. And that’s mostly students.

I’d go students and staff only for first game and see how it goes. We’re asking for a cluster if we host 30k.

Not gloating about attendance, BUT just think a team that only has 9% chance to make a Bowl game at this point having 25k for a home game, be pretty sweet.

Other factors the later in the year the colder it gets the less fans show up typically. App Fans are different though,
some are still struggling, no water at most areas in Jeff, Watauga and counties west.

Be a testament to their resolve and faithfulness. Linville Ridge just got power last night, still no water in much of Avery.

Gillin will NOT make a mid year move, that's not his style and there isn't anyone on staff that can jolt the players to turn it around. Let it ride out and #cleanhouse

The unfortunate thing is he will still be around and that's sad, because he's as much of the issue as on field play.

We have one of best fan bases. It will be crowded for sure, but not what it should be for homecoming. It’s a testament to our fan base and University that our fans will show up now matter what. Hurricane, other outside elements, bad team…etc.
That’s what TIGMA is about. No matter what, we still show up.
And I’m not saying you let him go now, but you make the decision today that it’s over and what happens the rest of the year doesn’t matter. Maybe you don’t tell him, but hold strong. Don’t let him win 2-3 games and re-think it. Stick to your guns, we need new blood.

I would be disappointed if gillin did make a decision before seasons end. It is not going to add much value or advantages....and coach Clark deserves to coach out the season.

Gillin can't have made the decision yet because if we win out from here then it would look bad to fire a coach who was hot in November and went from 2-4 to a 7-4 record. I think Shawn has to lose 2 more before Gillin makes the final decision to move on from him.

7 wins was never good enough for him to return. Why the switch up now? We went from “the year” hoping to make playoffs, to the floor being 9 wins, to now praying for a miracle to get 7. Where do you draw the line? 7 wins signals mediocrity and complacency in year 5 when we were were told “this is the year”. In no circumstances outside of an SBC title game should he return.

The reason I am guessing he needs to lose 1 or 2 more, likely 2 more to ensure a change, is because of the hurricane situation. There will be many people screaming loud for one more year if he wins 7. I want Shawn to turn this around but I just don't think he will. I expect to lose 2 more and for Gillin to make a change on Dec 2 or so but Gillin is going to let this play out. There is no chance he fires him this month. Who would you put as interim head coach?

Gillin made his mind up the night of South Alabama loss, that was the beginning of the end for #TeamClark for good. aint no flipping the decision this year.

#TeamClark survived last year Wyoming, UL Monroe gauntlet that Gillin wanted to run him out, but with the JMU win had #TeamClark safe.

I agree. I wish there was a way to give the locals a chance as well, but trying to decipher who is and who isn’t would probably be tough. The people of Boone and surrounding area could probably use an outlet for a few hours to take their mind off what happened.

I have not talked to Gillin but I really think if we somehow win out that he would bring him back for one more year.

If Gillin has made his mind up though then he should be looking around for quality coaching candidates and be prepared to move very fast on Dec 2.
