ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
Starts with the offensive line getting run through...
Then with the runs through the middle of the line...
Then the lack of ability to throw the football (???)
And finally defense stands and watches..until they get mad enough to commit a personal foul...

Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
Once again terrible clock management at the end. 3rd and 2, 3 times outs in your pocket, inside the 10 and you come up empty. That is on the coaching staff once again. Two shots at two yards, then you have 4 more shots to get into the end zone. Then again, maybe we don't have an o-line to get those two yards. Once again, we just don't know how to win.

Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
They needed a fake field goal, two 4th down conversions, a fake punt, and an ASU overthrow in the endzone to beat a 2-7 team by 7 points.Gonzo wrote:O-line, O-line, O-line.

2 plays to get 2 yards and you force 2 throws??
Tired of watching our O linemen chasing their missed blocks who are chasing our qb.

Well, I guess so. It is what it is.ASU-FTW wrote:I feel more comfortable in 3rd and five than when facing a 3rd and 1 with this O line.

SS is doing his best with what THE COMMITTEE left him. It takes time to rebuild a program that was on the slide, at least 2 years for results in the right direction, could be a little longer since APP is having to compete every week next season with established 85 scholarship programs.
On the other hand, what would some say if the same things were happening with Coach Moore on APPs sidelines this season?

He caught the right wave out on a winning season and not out on a 2-10 note.

Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
While our OL play needs to improve, they are going to look bad when the QB holds onto the ball FOREVER. QB play hurt worse than the OL today IMO. Kam has potential but needs to release the ball sooner and needs to make better decisions in general. He is getting plenty of experience though and should continue to improve.
On the other hand, we likely lost the game primarily to special teams - specifically Chattanooga's 2 fakes which ultimately led to 14 points.

The play of the team has improved when compared to where they started. They haven't packed it in. Next year will be better on the win side, but a tough year by the standards set over the last 2 decades. Everybody got their Big Boy pants on?

It's Bush's fault.

I don't know, but, if the individual that has been red shirted in the QB position is as good as advertised, Kam may be holding a clipboard on the sideline next season. We'll see.Cincy App wrote:While our OL play needs to improve, they are going to look bad when the QB holds onto the ball FOREVER. QB play hurt worse than the OL today IMO. Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
I would hope if Satterfield and the team were a complete failure after four years, folks wouldn't still be blaming Moore while also giving Sat a four year contract extension.JCline0429 wrote:Black Saturday wrote:DPASU wrote:Starts with the offensive line getting run through...

Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
This was a good effort today. Had several chances to go up by two scores and couldn't get consistent on offense. Guys, we are 2-7 for a reason, but this team is showing some fight down the stretch. They almost beat them today, and when you look at the records of each team, we had no business being that close. UTC played super desperate today and they only beat us by 7. This team will be something in 2 years, and will surprise some folks next year. The talent is really starting to show with these young men.Black Saturday wrote:The play of the team has improved when compared to where they started. They haven't packed it in. Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
Yet we had plenty of time to run the play we wanted to tie it. I'm sorry, can't agree with the comment on clock management. We lost the game because we lack big guys up front, and as the game wore them down, our offense could not run well enough.WataugaMan wrote:Once again terrible clock management at the end. 3rd and 2, 3 times outs in your pocket, inside the 10 and you come up empty. Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
Still believe we could have tied it up given the situation we were in at approximately 1 min. left. For example, once inside the 10, 15 seconds ran off the clock, we line up then call a time out. We'll just have to agree to disagree, still think we wasted our time outs and the clock. At the same time, I'm not to sure we would have pulled it out in OT anyway.

Re: ALWAYS (lack) ATTACK
Notice the differences you are pointing out in today's team and the teams of our championship runs. Those teams had what it took to pull it out.WataugaMan wrote:Still believe we could have tied it up given the situation we were in at approximately 1 min. left.
