I know it’s frustrating to coaches to work a kid for two years and develop him and when he is about ready to hit his peak you realize you did too good of a job because one of the big money schools come in and get him - after you did all the work.

I guess that's their welcome to the private sector. This kind of stuff happens all around us all the time.

I just find it crazy that the portal opens before the season ends.

It’s not officially open to undergrads for a couple more weeks. Grad students can go in at anytime.
