When they call references and vet their recruiting abilities as well as their list of whom they personally recruited and how they recruited them. Dis they work with their established NIL funds to figure out a players value to the school and how well dis they use that in evaluations and recruiting.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 10:30 amIf we interview OCs or DCs from P4s, how would the App admin be able to critique their performance with NIL and today's transfer portal?
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Feel like he could be a Drink like hire (but wouldn’t be a 1 and done guy)

As much as I wasn't a fan of his in the professional game, Wilks seems like a good candidate for this program. No nonsense guy, good locker room manager, bring some defense back to us. NFL ties for the kids with pro-aspirations. Cache for the portal etc.

Do you think that he has desire to deal with 18-22 year old kids? No doubt that he has the X’s and O’s Locked down, but the last NFL guy that we had wasn’t into the recruiting piece.appstatealum wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 1:42 pmAs much as I wasn't a fan of his in the professional game, Wilks seems like a good candidate for this program. Great question. NFL players are not walking into the coaches office every day asking for money. Then just the ability. How does managing NFL players translate to managing college players? Not a statement but simply a question.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 1:53 pmDo you think that he has desire to deal with 18-22 year old kids? I’d say.. we want a head coach… so you don’t have to put up with on the job training. Another G5 coach or someone who’s been one like Neal Brown or FCS or even Div 2….. there are lots of good coaches out there. The one exception I would make for P4 coordinator would be Taylor Lamb….. the main problem with P4 coordinators is they won’t stay long…. I think TL would stay maybe 4-5 yrs…..

I don't care how long they stay as long as they win the way our fans expect them to win. If nobody wants our coach after 3 years, we got the wrong coach.

Taylor is the QB coach at UVA, not a coordinator. Not at all ready to be our HC.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 2:52 pmI’d say.. we want a head coach… so you don’t have to put up with on the job training. I’ve read that he’s definitely a candidate, but I really I’m not impressed with him. The only good thing he’s done recently is make WVU garbage.

I really hope this is not true. We don't need a cast of coach who couldn't win enough to keep his most recent job. I don't like this at all.

WVU wasn't great before him, and that was pre-NIL. Dana had a few good years but was mostly in the.500 range as well. They don't have the resources many of the P4 schools have and it showed when they played ranked teams.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 4:30 pmI’ve read that he’s definitely a candidate, but I really I’m not impressed with him. Someone called their shot on twitter with Smith. Will see if they are right or not.

Probably just some kid on campus sledding down suicide hill drunk on LDOC throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks.
