These guys are in exams starting tomorrow. We're going to see more of a wave of guys entering once they get home and have a chance to think and talk to family and friends. Flip side to that is, once we hire and get a new staff in place, and they have a chance to contact existing guys, you'll see some pull themselves out of the portal.

This is going to take a while but we should know most everything by the time classes start in Jan.

Don't hold your breath. That was a big problem for Shawn during his tenure. Registrar would stone-wall credits and players could not transfer in. Thank you Chancellor Everts.

Some good high school talent in that bunch, however two most coveted, or at least highest rated, that were coming as a package deal decommitted.

Read an article earlier this week on signing day class 4 year retention rates… college football is so broken the rates are no at 20-30%. Pre-portal, 4-year retention rates were in the 60-80% range.

I took a look at our ‘24 roster by class back to the 2019 signing class and we are in-line at ~25% for the ‘24 season.

With that, a signing class of 9 expect 2 maybe 3 to become household names.

Absolutely devastating for a historical development program like we have been. I absolutely hate it.

It definitely hurts the business model. I think our NIL dollars would be best used on player retention if we want to try to maintain what makes us special.
