We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I'm sure any negotiations over salary etc. (with any candidate) must also include the Head Coach candidate feeling confident there is enough money in the coffers to pay decent salaries to attract the assistants he wants as well. He's got to look after his guys in addition to himself.

I do not want a coach with that attitude! Hell we lambasted, and appropriately so, a BOT member for saying very similar things. It is about more than enjoying the game. Hard no on Brown.

Yeah, the people that have to approve his contract. Just what we need. Ugh.

We’re going to stick 9 in the box every play and blitz both corners.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 2:26 pmStonewall has good sources. I just interviewed. NattyBumpo is my DC, EricSaid is OC and QB coach. I’m just waiting on the offer at this point. We’ve agreed to all terms.

I'm not opposed to Lamb. I've bene hearing his name floating around for the last 2 months from some people I know at ESPN. Could have just been residual chit chat, but it seemed like there was interest thereericsaid wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 12:38 pmI don't even care. I want Tre Lamb. He's 34, I'm 33. He get's it, I get it. He will be gone by the next time there is an opening and I would hate to sit here three years from now and go "I told you so".appstatealum wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 12:32 pmWhat a comment. I'm just going to believe you are being emotional and sharing your personal feelings. CFB is a results driven business and noone can argue that Clark didn't fumble the bag. Any coach that wouldn't want to come here because we fired a coach who was sliding down the mountain into mediocrity is no coach I want leading the program, and frankly, I'd question their ability to lead a McDonalds fryer line if that's their mindset.DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 12:09 pmCasey Woods is in the mix... comes highly recommended from Drink -- Satt recommended Neal Brown.
One P5 coordinator after digging into told his agent no thanks.
Either a fall back guy (Brown) -- Brown is awaiting what goes on at WKU.
A first timer (Woods)
OR a 1-AA move up the chain guys
This search will eventually pivot in another direction.
When you Fire an alum that was 40-24 isn't going to get you the top tier guys -- pecking order on who will want this job will fall down the train.
That's exactly what I'll be doing though so I may as well add this to my profile. Texas State hired GJ Kinne and it worked out for them, quickly. App is starting from a much higher point of reference than Texas State was.
If DG hasn't already hired Brown, hire Lamb.

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
I think the worst was actually this year's "Unfinished Business". That slogan was a bust in 1996 when they first used it and it was clearly a bust this past year. Just bad juju. You would think SC would have realized this considering he was on that team, and I think on the poster.

Our goals are still in front of us…and by in front of us, they are so far in front of us that they are out of reach

Say what you will about Clark, "Bombs over Baghdad and sandpaper that ass" was a badass soundbite. Especially after we backed it up on the field.

DG should put that in the next coaches contract, never use the phrase, "Our goals are still in front of us".BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:17 pmI never want to hear that phrase againNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:16 pmOur goals are still in front of us…and by in front of us, they are so far in front of us that they are out of reach

But that happened after our high-end talent bailed us out after going down 14-0 to UAB.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:16 pmSay what you will about Clark, "Bombs over Baghdad and sandpaper that ass" was a badass soundbite. Especially after we backed it up on the field.
That early deficit and high number of penalties that game were a sign.

Luckily for you, that's a goal you can put out in front of yourself.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:17 pmI never want to hear that phrase againNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:16 pmOur goals are still in front of us…and by in front of us, they are so far in front of us that they are out of reach
