I can tell you some of what I know. Again , no one has been offered. No one. Interviews are being conducted today and tomorrow. There is great interest in a couple of candidates-so far. Everything is subject to change. The hope is to conclude and negotiate then. BOT has left town and is on standby to approve a contract via conference call. I have no crystal ball and only know what I’ve been told. Galloway has not been part of any conversation of which I have been a part.

I remember when an App athletic trainer (theoretically a good source) told me confidently that C-USA was a done deal back in 2012. I was shocked when it never happened but now I'm glad! That was my lesson on not trusting anything until it's officially announced.

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
I would be pretty stunned if it’s Galloway or Smith, nothing personal against them, but I just see Gillin going with someone more qualified, like a former head coach or at least significant OC experience.
Truth is, no matter who is hired, only time will tell whether they will succeed.
We will have to hope for the best.
All that said, I prefer a guy like Woods, although it’s impossible to know if he would find success as a head coach.
Many thought we couldn’t afford to fire Clark but we could, maybe we can afford more for a new coach as well.
Go App!

It wasn't just athletic trainers saying it. And they were celebrating openly back in late 2010 about our alleged 2012 CUSA invite.appvette wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:20 pmI remember when an App athletic trainer (theoretically a good source) told me confidently that C-USA was a done deal back in 2012. Cronic probably won’t happen at least not in the coach form. Hopefully we get who we want.
OutKast is performing at halftime I hear.

Outkast did not come because they wanted a bowl of all green MMs and one pound of weed in their dressing room is what I was told.

The OC from Mizzou who doesn't even call plays? That's it? Jesus. And Tre Lamb has interviewed with Charlotte. Wouldn't that be something.
Nothing like being proved correct within the first four weeks of the season.

As App State’s week 1 opponent next year, it would be awfully fitting if Lamb went to Charlotte.

If it were me, I’d probably relax on any early victory laps after how annoying you were about DBG.

So you're telling me that Brown hasn't had an offer in hand like DOTE has been trying to tell everyone? Fascinating.Stonewall wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:05 pmI can tell you some of what I know. At this point names are just names. All I would like to know if, anyone is able/allowed to tell, is a timetable. More interviews Saturday, got that part. So are we looking at BOT doing their thing Sunday, maybe contracts signed Monday and announcement Monday or Tuesday?

The last two weeks have proven who are insiders and who think they are.
I’m neither.
I’m neither.
