Probably loves Memphis style barbecue too...
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Surely with such a resume Clark will get another head coaching job then, right?DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 3:00 pmBe insulted all you want, #TeamClark was under appreciated when those post began, I was always, along with a few on here, agreed and understood the hardships that Clark had to go through as a coach, and the man went 40-24, 3-1 in Bowl games ,4 ranked wins, not too shabby body of work, underachieved this year for sure.
Case in point #1 -
Clark didn't get a Spring practice his first year as head coach due to a Bill Gates Pandemic.
Coach DL will have a spring season. Good for him.

Out of a long list of bad takes by DOTE, this might be the worst. Memphis has problems, crime probably #1, but it also has some undeniably cool stuff to see, do, and eat. 2nd worst in the south? You ever been to Albany, GA? Vicksburg, MS? Most of Florida?

How was Clark treated unfairly? You said yourself after the South Alabama game it was time for a change. At least that was your rebuttal when I said you were Clark or die no matter the direction of the program. So which is it?DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 7:36 pmIt's not as fun being any other way -- we can have private message pow wow's if you'd like, kinda like me being a message board therapist....goapps93 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 3:19 pmYou know, you make a lot of good points. I like to see Appy be successful, I hate to see Appy loose their roots, it's always been the little engine that could, they have an awesome fan base that's sometimes a bit delusional.
I hate to see good people like Clark and Moore get treated unfairly by their own people and own school,
it's gotten to where outsiders come in and make a mint off of each you and leave and not care how they left it.

How were they treated unfairly? Is this job like a King where once in place remain until you die? It was time for a fresh start both times. If we start the have to hire your own we reduce the possible candidate pool immensely. Plus you are back to some being afraid to can an alumni when they aren’t cutting it. This is a big time business especially now in the new environment. Hire the best guy and demand results.

I would say depends on what his family wants to do, I think his oldest starts HS next Fall...a lot of factors with young lives in the home.Yosef10 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 8:17 amSurely with such a resume Clark will get another head coaching job then, right?DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 3:00 pmBe insulted all you want, #TeamClark was under appreciated when those post began, I was always, along with a few on here, agreed and understood the hardships that Clark had to go through as a coach, and the man went 40-24, 3-1 in Bowl games ,4 ranked wins, not too shabby body of work, underachieved this year for sure.

I would say he was never endeared by most of you all, the expectations each year got a bit unrealistic to maintain, I have advocated since the beginning he was not 100% supported by the Admin like he needed to be.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 8:59 amHow was Clark treated unfairly? quite frankly neither was Drink, he went out on his own to raise money for Gold helmets, Concussion practice helmets. Those were $25,000 expenses when he arrived he had to raise...
The same issues Clark had I believe DL will eventually have as well.
Changing coaches just changes hope, it doesn't always change the problems.

I disagree; bad BBQ is not good at all. I have eaten some BBQ that was so bad you felt as though you were eating a house fire.

Sauce can’t fix that dreck they serve east of Greensboro. Or cover the mustard taste in South Cackilacky.
