Are you insinuating that our administration actually has a plan for the things we’re doing moving forward and we aren’t just flying by the seat of our pants?! Man, the folks on this board aren’t going to take kindly to that kind of logic. Anyone with true inside knowledge knows we’re the least desirable G5 job in the country, we are in insurmountable amounts of debt, and Dowell Loggains was the only fool we could clown into taking our head coaching job. What a sucker
No it was masterminded by the real genius of college football-Shawn Elliott and SoCar fans in order to get rid of their worst coach in history to suckers like us
Notre Dame fans wanted their OC gone, Troy hired him. He went from SBC Champion to 3-9 in one year.

Trust what the fans say.
Speaking of Notre Dame, I believe they are waiting for a college football playoff format in which they receive an auto-bid every year regardless of their record, because every year they have the best players and most NFL level talent.
Sarcasm font.
Which button do I press?

To hear some tell it, the real reason that Notre Dame is not in a conference is because they are in a league of their own. Most just want them in their conference because of the money they would bring to their conference. If you include Notre Dame, the ACC actually got three teams in the college football playoffs.

Those people would be incorrect. ND hasn’t been relevant nationally in 20+ years and doesn’t produce the most NFL talent. Usually an easy out in the postseason.
The ACC got 2 in because of the autobid rules, and the fact that none of the 3 top teams played each other in the regular season. Miami, Clemson and SMU all avoided playing each other.

Notre Dame is not in a conference because 1. they have their own TV deal; It was uncertain until the last renewal a year or so ago if NBC was going to renew it, but they did; so the money part is right for them. 2. they have a path to the playoff; this was also uncertain until the new format was announced. Had it been 6 or 8 teams or something with only auto bids to conference champions, they may have been forced to join, but with 7 at large bids, the path is there and accessible. 3. They have no problem filling their schedule.

Their AD has once said they would only enter a conference if either it means more money or being independent prevented them from a path to the playoff. I think the ACC missed a window to get them to join in 2020 by bailing them out. They should have told them if they wanted to play in the ACC in football in 2020 that Notre Dame should have had to join the league. They would have joined or it would have cost them a playoff spot. I don't know how soon Notre Dame could have joined but I would have made them sign documents to become full members in football as soon as legally possible.

Apparently the S&C coach and staff are staying. The BGP can celebrate and our entire DL will be injured by Lanor Day.

Had to have won a few games to get in the playoffs. Were any of those years' overall records below .500?

Hopefully the podcast doesn't run off our new coach. I know it was probably a joke, and Loggains didn't seem to care, but talking about Drink the last 10 minutes was certainly a surprise.

We got beaten by Wofford the year we defeated Michigan in the Big House. Proves nothing. Are we relevant?

And 3 weeks later we lost to Georgia Southern after that. Didn't we tie with Wofford for the title and they got the auto-bid that year?

And Michigan was out of the running for the championship after we beat them. Just like Notre Dame shouldn't be able to sniff the playoffs with a loss to a NIU team that finished 7-5 overall and 4-4 the MAC. That's what it proves and was the only point.

Notre Dame is only in because their name is Notre Dame.

He said he’s known Drink for 20 years and he obviously picked Drink’s brain about the App job. I think he was fine with it. He said something about being on there weekly if they were gonna talk non-football stuff
