Running a 4 man front with a converted LB as the 4th man would be a disaster IMO.

DJ did qualify the 4 man front with bring multiple. So I imagine he’ll do whatever fits the personnel best, but gear future recruiting towards a 4 man front

Just looked up all the OLB’s DJ coached in 2019. Most notable was ADG, but he had a squad. Demarco was ILB, but got to think he had an impact there, too

DJ was also coached by one of the best LB coaches around in Dale Jones. He couldn't call a defense, but damn his LBs were always good!

Agreed. We definitely need some new defensive players/scheme. Clark and co. had our defense getting torched v a correctional Alabama school.
It's early, we will find the rest in the spring portal.

It will be interesting to see DL's recruiting plan next year. The breakdown of HS vs. TP ratio is evolving at the G5 level.

Also intrigued to see which programs max out the 105 scholarships vs. staying near 85, i.e. Boise has stated they will remain at 85.

Who leads in the lineman ranking in the portal, net additions/subtractions? That is who I'd be concerned about in 2025.

Agreed. Given coaching change and later in the period addition of DJ, .... although I may be wrong, I think we may see more activity on D in the spring and they enroll over the summer.
