Lost two them by 2 in tournament after beating them handily at home last. Although this year is a different year, I seem to remember they attacked the basket more in tournament game versus 3 pointers. Our team is different and I am sure they are too. Hopefully, our D shows up so we do not have to score 80.

I could be wrong but think they retained almost their entire team from last year. They had some key injuries early this season but are healthy now. At home on ESPN2, they will be tough to beat. Our defense will have to continue to play great, but we’ll need better offensive production than how we fared the last game.

Ironically the only notable player we lost to the portal after last season was the kid who hit the last second shot to beat you guys in the tournament. Story goes that he was convinced by an agent that he was going to get the big bucks from an SEC school. Entered the portal, found out he had zero P5 interest whatsoever, and was told we had filled his spot alreadyNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:10 amI could be wrong but think they retained almost their entire team from last year. He ended up on a Southland team that is like 7 or 8 games under .500 right now. Moral to the story, don't burn bridges when you enter the portal

FYI, someone should start a new thread for the Thursday game. I would, but we seem to lose pretty often when I start them.

I used to be diligent about starting them 3 days before each game. I fell off a little bit to start this season but thankfully some other posters (like you) jumped in and picked up the slack. It takes a village. I’d create them all at once early in the season if I thought I’d remember to go back and bump them once game time approached.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 3:37 pmFYI, someone should start a new thread for the Thursday game. I love that each game thread is getting 3-4-5 pages of comments including live posting during the game with real critical breakdowns other than “great win”.

Well, the last two I started were Louisiana and Troy, so I feel like I should not start one again until after our win streak is done.APPdiesel wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 9:54 amI used to be diligent about starting them 3 days before each game.
