Beyond excited! I thought David would have been solid but Heather earned it and is the best candidate. Football is in good hands now just like when we had Peacock.

Personally psyched about Interim Chancellor Norris. I actually had a great interaction with her while I was a student in COB. Only asking this because I'm ignorant. Why is she good news for the football program specifically?

If in reference to my comment, I was referring to App St in general as the home team.

Can you do emeritus pothhumously? Also I don't think Everys was so bad as to not deserve the title as well. She was far from perfect and at the end it was time to go but she left App State in a overall good position while working against the typical UNC BOG headwinds and some politics that were in the state and country that were far from pro-college education.

If other Chancellors got the title it would be a huge slap in the face to not give her that title (assuming it is purely ceremonial and has no power.)I am not sure App is in a position to be known as a face-slapping university for our long term success. It would be better to be the better person and give her the title.

Can you do emeritus pothhumously? Also I don't think Everys was so bad as to not deserve the title as well. She was far from perfect and at the end it was time to go but she left App State in a overall good position while working against the typical UNC BOG headwinds and some politics that were in the state and country that were far from pro-college education.

If you heard the stories I have you might not feel the same. I do agree about being better person usually but she caused many of her issues. I don't want to focus on her though because I am just thankful we got a huge upgrade. Heather should do a great job.
