I would have liked to get invited to NIT. However, realize the SBC, given strength of conference, will not get many bids to the various tournaments.
Not a fan of cbi as you have to pay entry fee
Now it is portal watch time.

I love the format and since we play early even if you play 5 in a row to win you have an extra week to rest for the NCAA. I wouldn't change it. It should lead to higher seeds getting into the tournament.
