Glad to see this scheduled. College football at its best is when it embraces its history and pageantry.

It was a lopsided rivalry but a rivalry nonetheless. I hope Western brings a good sized crowd and we hammer them again, but I’ve honestly found myself cheering for them in FCS the past few years.

Cheer for them, heck no. I cannot bring myself to do that. Feel sympathy for them given how futile their football program is ..You betcha.

Hope so. Sadly, I believe he would have beat us with the previous staff but we don't know what we got here yet. I am hopeful he is gone by then because as you said what he has done is very impressive. Going 7-5 or better there is very hard to do.

I talked to DLo one on one last week. Best conversation I’ve had with a HFC since Sparky. No BS. He listened and I believe shot straight with me. If he coaches that way we are in for some fun.

I get a similar sense from him. I will say my expectations are at 6-7 games because of how we did last year and all the changes but I am hopeful he can get the most out of this team and get us back to being a contender.

It means as much as App hosting FCS favorites Furman, Citadel, Wofford, etc. Fun to relive the old days in an early season game that we should win by 3-4 TDs. Don't read too much into it.

Even worse. What if their AD has a plan to sign multiple years, win the Jug, and then cancel the remaining games when they win it? I do hope that Bell is gone by 2028. He is a good enough coach to beat us. He played close with NC State and they were better than us.
