Has anyone seen any info on any early season MBB tournaments that App will be playing in? I saw some of the ESPN sponsored tournaments are starting to release their teams that are participating (see Charleston Classic). May be jumping the gun but planning a road trip is what helps get through the doldrums of summer!

The field for the Charleston Classic is impressive. We aren't in it.
If anything, we will be in something like were last year in Wilmington. My best guess.
Sometimes, accepting reality is difficult.

Re: Early Season Tournaments
It'd be nice to make a decent mid-major field, but who knows. Absent that hopefully next year's schedule gets a few more P5s. The ACC reducing their conf schedule by two games will hopefully be really helpful. The P5's have gotten so brutal with their scheduling tactics that I'm not sure we'll land any ACC games, but it'd be great to get a couple on the books.

Re: Early Season Tournaments
I would like to see a tournament of NC teams. Play in Raleigh or Charlotte where you have better opportunity for attendance.
ECU, UNCW, NC Central, Elon, A&T, Asheville, Campbell, Charlotte, App. St., etc
8 team tournament. Each team gets 3 games...but have a bracket..Qtrs, semis, finals..
Not a structure where no one wins.

Let's go with 8 public schools - App, Asheville, A&T, Charlotte, ECU, NC Central, UNCW, & WCU.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 6:45 amI would like to see a tournament of NC teams. Play in Raleigh or Charlotte where you have better opportunity for attendance.

UNCG is another option.

Re: Early Season Tournaments
I would much rather have a standing home and home scheduling arrangement with Western, Charlotte, ECU, Wilmington etc... that would guarantee a home game with two of these every year than travel to Chapel Hill or Raleigh with no return game.
Would also be OK with a 2 for 1 against Wake.
