Re: Kanye Roberts out for season
I guess the Arkansas guy will get his shot with the TN guy as back up. This is a real bummer though.

Did we know that Roberts was going to start? I figured it would be him and Dubinion but I was not sure which one would actually start.

Re: Kanye Roberts out for season
First and MOST importantly, Best of luck in recovery to Kanye.
I spoke to a client of mine that is a BIG Arkansas guy, he was really high on Dubinion when I brought him up. Says he is super quick in space but didn't have SEC breakaway speed. He thinks he will do big things for us. I think we can take a hit in the RB room a hell of a lot better than anywhere else on the field. Does anyone have any insight into the kid from TN? I know he's a big back but that's about all I know.

I hope they are right, but fans of SEC programs often over estimated the impact of a transfer to G6 programs.

Re: Kanye Roberts out for season
He is the backup now by default. He will be an all around good back for us. He can be the bruiser but he also has the vision and catching ability to do more than you might think. He will be tough to tackle. Think of a bigger, faster, more athletic Anderson Castlelp56251 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 9:18 amFirst and MOST importantly, Best of luck in recovery to Kanye.

Thanks for the info. I like the sound of that!!! Hopefully they both live up to the SEC transfer hype.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 12:24 pmHe is the backup now by default. This made me think of something. When the guys who are being paid are out for the season, do they still get paid?

Re: Kanye Roberts out for season
Hope to see Dubinion and Khalifa perform well with solid blocking skills and hope they develop as solid receivers out of backfield as well. Haven't heard anything about these two relating to speed but have heard they are shifty quick and can lower and hit you especially Khalifa.
KICK ASS!!!

Yeah. Unless it’s a non-football injury and/or there is a clause in the contract to not pay them, they will still get their agreed upon amount. Beyond it being contractually obligated, it is also the right thing to do when a player is injured “on the job”.

I want to say I remember Jaquari Lewis being named a breakout player nobody knows of yet in an interview during media day... If so, it may be his time to shine sooner than later.
