It is very common, in fact standard from what I know, in every major league sports franchise so I would imagine that we do it to. And if we don't, someone needs to get on that train and quick. Wow, what a boneheaded thing for the Jets to do. I really thought it was standard for all teams since I learned about it 20 plus years ago. I sure hope we are doing it.

Speaking of knuckleheads, ESPN ran a great article on the Cowboy’s lack of contracting prowess. Jerry and Stephen make a lot of stupid decisions, but (unlike the Jets) they have a knack for bumbling their way to 7-9 wins each year.

Oh, and Dallas is still the most valuable sports franchise…which never ceases to amaze me.
