This made me think of something. When the guys who are being paid are out for the season, do they still get paid?
They should pay him or risk getting a call from Morgan & Morgan.
This comment is not directed toward Kanye. He is playing by the rules, as stupid as they are. It is in refrence to this incredibly broken system. We are one of many schools who really can't afford to pay players in the first place. It is only compounded when we have to pay players who don't play.
Was a bad idea, is a bad idea, always will be a bad idea.

I would assume that the paying party (in this case probably our school) would have an insurance policy against injury. It is very common, in fact standard from what I know, in every major league sports franchise so I would imagine that we do it to. And if we don't, someone needs to get on that train and quick. We certainly can't afford to be out of pocket on pay for play (NIL) for an athlete that is injured and can't play.

Just out of curiosity I googled it and found this. In 2023 when AAron Rogers went down the Jets did not have the policy and it cost them his $37 mil salary. As this was the NFL I was surprised. Wonder what we do.

That is the most “Jets” clusterbumps of any and all Jets clusterbumps.

Wow, what a boneheaded thing for the Jets to do. I really thought it was standard for all teams since I learned about it 20 plus years ago. I sure hope we are doing it.

Speaking of knuckleheads, ESPN ran a great article on the Cowboy’s lack of contracting prowess. Jerry and Stephen make a lot of stupid decisions, but (unlike the Jets) they have a knack for bumbling their way to 7-9 wins each year.

Oh, and Dallas is still the most valuable sports franchise…which never ceases to amaze me.

They know what they got. They are laughing all the way to the Bank so to speak. With that said, they also do not have the common sense to realize they, themselves, are one of the worst GMs in football. 😂😂
